The main reason we're at an impasse is because our politicians haven't created a wealth fund with our excess contributions.

NOTE: The Norwegians have been investing their excess contributions in marketable securities since 1971, and today, they're laughing.

All that disappears along with Medicare, Medicaid and Chips
With universal healthcare. It all comes under one umbrella and is user funded. This is one reason why it’s cheaper.

Even our businesses are suffering under the oversight of the gop. Businesses do better under democratic administration.

Somehow I don't think Hannity has anything to do with SS or Medicare but thanks for the flight of insanity. It's amusing.

SS and Medicare revolve around SS and Medicare taxes. They can raise those taxes as an answer.

I am going to guess that would take legislation. The democrats like Pelosi have vowed not to touch SS or Medicare for political reasons and I cannot imagine them allowing any of it being allowed to be invested after they threw a fit over allowing 2% of SS to be invested.

Dah....that’s why it never goes broke. You’re finally getting it. There is no need to cut services. The premiums people pay to private insurers are higher then the user taxes in every country that has it. A real dah moment for the GOP sword swallowers.

It’s difficult to protect social programs whem republicans throw the economy into a recession, like 9 of the last ten.

You kept saying the gop line. I told you many posts ago that the increased in cap by the IRS was paying for the increased cost of SS. You never realized it’s a tax increase ? Good grief. What do you think the IRS collects, huh ?

The average middle class worker lives from pay check to paycheck. Nope, only 80 of the 1500 counties have capital investment worth long term growth. Sure everyone has a job at a box store. . But just ask them what their big concern is that the gop has no answer for, healthcare. .
Bush was bragging the same way living off Clinton like Trump is living off Obama. He’ll have his recession.....a beauty too.

If you think Obamacare was an answer then you will have to explain why 30 million people are still without insurance or how it inflated rates so quickly.

If a middle class worker lives from paycheck to paycheck then look at how far they have gotten into debt for things they 'want' and don't really need.

Because the right just passed a law more then a year ago allowing insurance companies as decided by the states, to start discriminating agasint people with preexisting conditons and charging them more while elim8nating mandates. Really , it’s the poor with Medicaid, the elderly with Medicare and the wealthy self insured that can buy insurance now. By eliminating mandates, it’s now GOP care.
That’s why the number one issue is healthcare.....it’s now controlled by the private sector unless you’re in those groups.

The “strong suite” of gop supporters is shortsightedness and the total unwillingness to educate themselves. Proof positive is AGW, universal healthcare and the belief in trickledown.

I'm not so sure it all goes away. My father was on Medicare and his doctor in Napa, CA told him he be dropped as a patient if he didn't cough up $150 per month. There were no other doctor in Napa taking Medicare. How did the doc get away with it? He offered "concierge service."

An interesting theory I happen to agree with in some cases. Other times, Democrats apply suffocating regulations that would be better if less complex. When Sweden had a banking crisis, they took over the banks, recapitalized them, and reopened them for business. Shareholders were wiped out.

Sure. There are a number of options. I'd like to serious greed control along the lines I suggested.

It's a poker game for him, this is what the haters dont understand. He wont close the border, he just wanna give Obrador the impression that he would do it. Anyway I dont interfere in Mexican-US conflicts here from Europe. Of course I am glad that the US has a competent leader now instead of that "Putin does not have a sould" witch, but Obrador is a very decent guy as well.

I rest my case. Robert is no different from other Trump fans who enjoy changing the subject, avoiding real issues, providing photos and cartoons, and attacking the critic.

Sandy, I defended Trump and you still told them I did not. How can you look at yourself in the mirror?

You are talking about costs, something Obamacare never addressed except for increasing them by taxing medical manufacturers and increasing coverage which also increases costs. Republicans have talked about addressing costs. Lowering costs can help Medicare but has nothing to do with SS.

Obama added millions of poor and/or unhealthy folks to the medical care system with predictable results. it was easy to see coming as Obama cuts deals, one after another, with the Usual Suspects--doctors, Big Pharma, insurers, etc.--so costs were never cut.
Obama talked about cutting costs, too. I'd like to see someone walk the talk.
Correct. But Social Security isn't much of a problem.
