Who does Trump think he is kidding?

No one would be a good answer. Once again, the imperial President is being obvious and foolish while he throws his party under the bus.

Democratic congressional leaders emerged from a meeting at the White House on Tuesday and announced that Trump had agreed to pursue a $2 trillion infrastructure plan to upgrade the nation’s highways, railroads, bridges and broadband. His highness undoubtedly feels there may be a side benefit to agreeing with the liberals. He is foolish enough to think maybe the Democrats will back off on those silly subpoenas if he pretends to be working with them.

Pelosi and Schumer were asking for $1 trillion, but Trump upped it to $2 trillion because it was "bigger and better." Why not $3 trillion? Aw, hell, let's make it $4 trillion.

What does it matter? The Republicans, the ones that control the Senate, were not present at the meeting. Trump's party agreed to nothing and they are not likely to. Trump's acting chief of staff, Mick Mulvaney, is already throwing cold water on the idea.

“I want to change the environmental laws, how do you feel about that as a Democrat?” Mr. Mulvaney said. “It’s going to be a very difficult place for them to go. I think that may be the place where the discussions break down.”

That is your typical Trump White House scenario. Trump says one thing. His key advisors say the very opposite.

Pelosi and Schumer are not fooled by the imperial President's faux generosity, but they are talking it up as though it were real. “We agreed on a number, which was very, very good,” Schumer said.

That leaves it up to Trump's party's leadership as in Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to put the breaks on this expenditure because the big tax cut significantly increased the federal budget deficit.

According to the Monthly Treasury Statement for fiscal 2018, the year that just ended Sept. 30, the deficit was $779 billion — a $113 billion, 17 percent increase over the $666 billion deficit recorded last year. This was the biggest one-year increase in the deficit since 2009, when the Great Recession wreaked havoc on federal finances. https://www.usatoday.com/story/opin...s-soaring-federal-deficits-column/1657338002/

So, the Democrats are making a lot of noise rejoicing over the imperial President's generosity. That leaves it up to McConnell and others in the GOP leadership to break the unwelcome news to Americans.

    Good move Mr. President.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is the reaction from Trump's supporters.

False assumption, I am not a "she."

With supporters like these three, Trump doesn't need any enemies. They don't even try to defend Trump. Instead, they continue to prove my point.

Joining this thread when already 33 pages in...so I'll just go directly to the subject line posted.

I'm confused by the lack of motivation in Trump supporters that his corporations (not him personally) being punished in the ways he described on the campaign trail. He talked about heavy fines and suggested criminal prosecution. But when it was shown that illegals were working at Westchester and various resorts, they defended him saying that he didn't know about it personally. In the whole scheme of things, that doesn't really matter. What matters is that the corporations be punished as he promised they would be when he was campaigning.

Why don't Trump supporters want to see this action?

Where should Trump cut spending to decrease the deficit?

That is not the point. The fact that Trump once again threw his party under the bus just to provide a ludicrous diversion from the Mueller Report, Barr appearing before Congress, conspiracy, obstruction, et al. is the point.

You didn't bring up a point. :roflol:

It is so like a Trump supporter to be critical of a poster because his analysis is complete and substantiated.

If it isn’t the point why paragraphs of prose moaning about deficits and etc.?

His party? He doesn’t really have a party. If you are referring to the GOP, under a bus sounds like a good place for most of them.

I know you’d like Trump to roll over for your elites/establishment/progressive conglomerate, but he isn’t going to. Like I’ve said before, if you guys treated me like you have Trump there would be some obstructions in certain places for sure. And not in justice. :)

I wish you all would either impeach him, stage a hard coup, or just deal with it like we all had to for eight years of Obama. Every day you look more and more like junior high school girls. It’s just slander at this point.

I doubt anyone is serious about infrastructure. And if you are against using hyperbole as a distraction it’s a little amusing because that seems to be your MO.

Oh, I know you’ll love this. Trump’s fundraising is exceptional. He’s raising more money than any incumbent in history. And get this. Ninety-nine percent of it is donations under $200. I guess you need to step up your game. Average Americans seem to want another four years. I guess your elitist rants against the less educated, southerners (and by extension a huge segment of the armed forces), and other flyover demographics is really paying off...for Trumps 2020 war chest anyway! Well done.

    Do bots have a gender?

I did bring up a point referring to your opening rant. He does of course not want to close the border for him its like a poker game,I explained this more detailed. You did not even answer to this point, just mentioned the short cut again and again for "how Trump supporters do not even defend Trump". So your algorithm is quite cheap right now still. Let's see you your next software update will turn out. Up to now you are a rather sloppily programmed liberal bot, but who knows, maybe your developer is still learning himself and will improve.

I've know that for a long time. Trump is a RINO. I'm happy to hear you admit that.

Yes, I know you want that. You want the Senate to vindicate him, make him a martyr from those terrible Democrats.

Not going to happen. His critics are going to cripple him. He will be a weakened candidate in 2020.

Yes, I know, and I don't understand that. Before Trump came along, Americans would defend the candidate of their choice from critics. As this thread shows time and time again, Trump's supporters like you don't defend Trump from criticism. I don't get that.

Trump himself has a problem. His base cannot elect him, not enough votes. Yet Trump goes out of his way piss off Americans who don't support him. He makes no attempt to broaden his base. He's at war with the press (really stupid). Everyone has already forgotten his two trillion for infrastructure. He lies so much no one believes him, not even his base. They know he lies. He issues meaningless threats almost on a daily basis. They are largely ignored.

I'm hopeful Americans will fire his ass on November 3, 2020.

No. Trump is not a RINO. They hate him.

That was always what this was about. Slander and innuendo. And why would I want the House to impeach Trump? That’s ridiculous. I want the house to do what they say they want and cut spending to cut the deficit.

You never will. Although I’ve explained it to you.
It’s pointless to defend him from things that only exist in your imagination. On factual matters I’ve proven you wrong repeatedly. Frankly I’m bored with it. Like I told you in another thread where you posted this off topic garbage, people with a life have other interests. Trump’s tweets, etc. are to keep you spun up. I can’t believe you still swallow every baited hook he casts. He’s following through on what he’s supposed to be doing and you and others don’t even know it’s going on.

Then someone posts a list of things like “right to try” and you say essentially nobody cares about stuff like that. Well, they most assuredly do. And they are intelligent enough to know it’s happening and appreciate it. So ironic considering the title of this thread.

Fine. Who do you want to replace him?

About 80% of what Trump has done is conservative. In fact he is the most conservative President we have had during my lifetime. The elitists in the Washington bubble hate him because he is not one of theirs and they cannot control him.

"People will vote for somebody they don't like if they think it is good for them," acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney said.

Look for Mulvaney to be fired next week.

Could be, for Americans, there is a reason.

On the heels of the Helsinki summit where the imperial President bowed to the Russian dictator, Trump did it again today.

At Helsinki, Trump, in a stunning rebuke of the US intelligence community, declined to endorse the US government's assessment that Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election, saying he doesn't "see any reason why" Russia would be responsible.

"I have great confidence in my intelligence people, but I will tell you that President Putin was extremely strong and powerful in his denial today," Trump said during a joint news conference on July 16, 2018. The world was literally stunned by the President's remark.

Trump said he and Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the end of special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election during a lengthy phone call Friday but said he did not raise concerns about the possibility of Russian interference to come in the 2020 contest.

Mueller found that Russia interfered in our 2016 election “in sweeping and systematic fashion.”

When asked repeatedly whether he raised the issue of election interference or warned Putin not to do it again, Trump said, “We didn’t discuss that. Really, we didn’t discuss it.”

Coming from the President of the United States, that statement is truly remarkable.

So is this. when discussing the alleged criminal conspiracy between Russia and Trump’s campaign, the two imperial leaders actually joked about it.

“We discussed it. He actually sort of smiled when he said something to the effect that it started off as a mountain and it ended up being a mouse,” Trump said. “But he knew that, because he knew there was no collusion whatsoever.”

The two leaders could not see each other during the call.

Many strongly suspect that Trump is being extorted by the Russian leader. That would explain his fear of Putin. It would also explain Trump's meek and docile approach to the Russian dictator.

Trump just can't help himself. When he talks to an authoritarian leader, he then does what the authoritarian leader wants him to do. After speaking to the Turkish dictator, Trump announced a quick withdrawal from Syria. That cost him one Defense Secretary. Jim Mattis resigned over that one.

Today he did it again after speaking to his favorite booster, Russian President Vladimir Putin. After the phone call with the Russian dictator, the first thing he emphasized was that Putin wasn’t going to get involved in the deteriorating situation in Venezuela.

“I had a very good talk with President Putin — probably over an hour,” Trump said. “And we talked about many things. Venezuela was one of the topics. And he is not looking at all to get involved in Venezuela, other than he’d like to see something positive happen for Venezuela. And I feel the same way. We want to get some humanitarian aid."

This is our President. What a bunch of naive B.S. Trump is embarrassing.

Here is what Trump's secretary of state, Mike Pompeo, said on the subject of Venezuela.

"You’ll hear people saying we need to make sure there’s not an invasion in Venezuela, and yet there’s been one. I mean, it took place. The Cubans invaded some time ago; the Russians have now followed suit. The numbers of Cubans in the security apparatus alone are in the thousands. The Russians have people working over there in the hundreds, if not more. These are the folks who are actually controlling the direction of travel for Venezuela."

"He had an airplane on the tarmac, he was ready to leave this morning as we understand it and the Russians indicated he should stay."

"He was headed for Havana," Pompeo said.

Secretary of Defense Patrick Shanahan and national security adviser John Bolton both agree with Pompeo's assessment of the situation.

According to Trump, Putin is only interested in getting some humanitarian aid to Venezuela.

Our President is a sick man.

President Trumps Poll numbers for the last few weeks according to Rasmussen(proven to be the most accurate) have shown the President to be 47% to 53% approval. On Election day Nov.8,2016 he was given a less than 5% chance of winning by the MSM and his overall approval rating was in the low 40’s . So obviously, there was a huge undercurrent of support not being detected by the polls. It wasn’t politically correct to express support for Candidate Trump so people hid their true voting intentions to friends and relatives. My contention is that, that paradigm still exists and at a much higher level. So if the Democrats continue with this far left Agenda of OPEN BORDERS, ABORTION UP TO THE DAY OF DELIVERY AND AFTER, VOTING RIGHTS FOR INCARCERATED TERRORISTS,REPARARTIONS FOR SLAVERY and THE NEW GREEN DREAM SOCIALIST AGENDA etc combined with the advantage of the Incumbency and the EXONERATION OF ANY WRONG DOING BY THE MUELLER REPORT they haven’t got a snowball”s chance in hell of defeating President Trump in 2020 ! Gov. Northam of Va. On After Birth Abortions…..
