We have the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Texas has the Arbuckles. We have Malibu, Santa Barbara, Santa Cruz, Carmel, Mendocino. Texas has Galvaston and Brownsville. We have the best wine, the best weed the best seaports, the best climate and are one the greatest agricultural centers in the world. Texas has knee deep mud and mosquitoes the size of parakeets. Compared to California, Texas is a third world shithole. All of those leaving in droves are just the kind of nit wits we are happy to see leaving. Good riddance!!!

Those found to be taking the passive role were given the option by the religious court of being stoned to death or having a gov’t sponsored sex change operation, operations often conducted by the medically unqualified resulting in many victims dying of complications. Those found taking the active roll were fined ( read a cash on the spot contribution to the religious police) and given a warning.
On the day we were there, two men sprung having sex turned out to themselves be members of the religious. They were given no more than a wink and a warning.
My friend told me these procedures were regarded by Iranians as paying an indulgence, and indulgence like those paid to the Roman Church in the middle ages by those found committing a ’sin’.

The majority of the people voted for it to be legalized, via a citizen initiated referendum.

 

Large states are not the issue. Alaska is the largest state in the nation but only has a single House seat.

Small states losing population means losing House seats. Imagine if Idaho, Utah or Arkansas were to lose so many people that they each lost a congressional district. That is where the law of unintended consequences would kick in.
