Judge orders Trump accounting firm to hand over records to Congress

It’s pretty obvious the judge found the legal claims by trump to be ridiculous. But everyone who doesn’t get all their news from RW blogs would have no idea.

And you don't see anything F'd up about this, at all my fellow American? The courts basically pissed away the 4th Amendment in my view. This is beyond Trump, it's amazing that Congress has not yet abused this horrible idea of a ruling which spits in the face of the constitution.

 

You want to pretend the president is both a regular citizen and above the law at the same time, it doesn’t work. You and me can’t violate the emoluments laws. He can.

 

Read your link, did not see a word about collusion, or obstruction of justice. Was collusion supposed to do Trump in as surely as the next president was going to be a Democrat?

Bineg arrested and charged with obstruction for one. Ordering someone to refuse to cooperate with law enforcement is felony obstruction of justice.

 

Because he like that way more than he actually likes being President.

 

I admit that it is rare, but punishment is well within the rights of Congress for contempt. He could face up to one year in prison. He could also be charged a fine of $100,000.

I think that they need to hold folks responsible for their choices/actions if they are to be taken seriously. Political games should be set aside and act upon their words and threats.

Well, whatever happens to him, the process needs to start today if he doesn't appear... should be an immediate committee contempt vote (with no debating like last time). I would get the Ways and Means committee to vote Mnuchin in contempt as well, then the full House can vote contempt on all 3 (plus Barr) at the same time...
