Man if you really don't know no use trying to cross the impenatrable intellectual barrier. But to put it back on you what has the NRA done to reduce trafficking of firearms to children, known criminals, and known terrorists. If you can't provide anything then of course they are supporting by doing nothing.

The NRA supported the creation of the national instant check system, and has even supported the system being updated with relevant and pertinent information. That is what it has done.

The accusation of wrongdoings by the NRA are on the part of yourself. Therefore the obligation is on the part of yourself to demonstrate precisely what the NRA has been doing to directly and deliberately facilitate the supposed trafficking of firearms to children, known criminals, and known terrorists.

Get to demonstrating the matter. And do try for something that amounts to actual evidence of wrongdoing, rather than simple lobbying against the passage of misguided and ineffective legislation.

Then the opinion on the part of yourself, is that because the NRA has not been lobbying congress for the passage of firearm-related restrictions to try and prevent firearms trafficking, they are directly and deliberately engaged in the trafficking of firearms to prohibited individuals? Is that the claim that is ultimately being put forth on the part of yourself?

He can't even get his facts right. NRA supported NICS, they've done nothing on the Hughes amendment or NFA, they signed on to the Lautenberg amendment, they demanded bumpstock bans, they even support ERPOs ffs.

It is not the NRA's job as a lobby for law abiding gun owns to advocate for such laws, but they will never oppose any such laws.

    Post 2.
United States Attorney Richard W. Moore of the Southern District of Alabama announced that Anthony Ellis, a 34 year old resident of Selma, Alabama was sentenced to 100 months of incarceration for possession of a .38 caliber Rohm pistol after being convicted of a felony.

On January 28, 2019, Ellis was found guilty after a jury trial in Selma, Alabama being a felon in possession of a firearm. The evidence adduced at trial showed that on December 16, 2017, Selma police officers were on special patrol in an area of the city where violent crimes frequently occurred. They approached the intersection of The Small Street Inn and L.L. Anderson Avenue. They observed Anthony Jerome Ellis and a relative standing in front of a silver Ford Taurus parked at that location. When they observed the officers approach them, they moved to the passenger side of the vehicle and both bent down as if they were hiding something or placing something under the vehicle. Anthony Ellis was in the area of the back passenger door and his relative was at the back passenger quarter panel or behind the back tire.

Dallas County Man Sentenced to 27 Months for Possession of a Firearm After Conviction of a Felony

On February 19, 2019, Watts entered a guilty plea pursuant to a plea agreement and admitted in open court that on December 3, 2018, at approximately 10:50 pm, Dallas County, AL Sheriff’s Office deputies were working at a driver’s license checkpoint on County Road 81 in the Selma, Alabama area. Watts approached the check point driving a Grey Ford Crown Victoria and was asked to provide his driver’s license. When deputies asked for Watts’ driver’s license they could smell marijuana coming for inside the vehicle. Watts and the other occupant in the vehicle (the front seat passenger) were then asked to exit the vehicle. Both did so without incident. Before officers could conduct a safety check of Watts, he told them, “I have two guns on me.” The firearms were seized from his front pocket. They are described as a Smith & Wesson, Airweight, .38 caliber pistol, and an FIE, Titan, .25 caliber pistol.

Firearms Trafficker Pleads Guilty to False Statements

According to court documents, between September 2017 and March 2019, Christian Malik White, 22, purchased 40 firearms from federal firearms licensees in the Eastern District of Virginia using a false address in Gainesville. After purchasing the firearms, White trafficked the firearms across state lines to Maryland and Washington, D.C., where he re-sold the firearms to other individuals. One of these individuals was a convicted felon, who possessed the firearm in Washington, D.C. with an obliterated serial number. White instructed his customers to obliterate the serial numbers on the firearms he sold to them.

In a plea agreement, Marquez admitted he cut the power lines to disable the alarm at Pacific Outfitters, located at 1600 Fifth Street, Eureka, California 95501, in the early morning hours of August 8, 2015. He then climbed on the roof and broke through a skylight to gain access to the firearms. He broke into a cabinet containing firearms and then carried 55 handguns out of the store in a backpack, forcing open a roll up door to exit the store. After he stole the guns, Marquez stored them until he was able to sell them.

Felon in Possession of Firearm Sentenced to Ten Years in Prison

On May 10, 2019, U.S. District Judge David L. Russell sentenced Rogers to the statutory maximum: 120 months, or ten years, in federal prison. This was a variance upward from the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines, which recommended a sentence between 70 and 87 months. The court heard evidence at sentencing that Rogers has had a number of victim protective orders filed against him. According to evidence before the court, the victim had given birth to Rogers’s child a few weeks before April 10, 2018, when Rogers became abusive. The court heard testimony that when the victim’s mother arrived at his residence to intervene, Rogers slammed the mother’s head against a car, put a gun to her head, and asked: “Are you ready to die?” The court imposed the maximum sentence after remarking that Rogers is a danger to any woman he encounters.

Ocala Man Pleads Guilty to Firearms Offense in Connection with Accidental Self-Shooting

Ocala, Florida – Michael Guell (37, Ocala) has pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in federal prison. A sentencing date has not yet been set.

According to the plea agreement, on November 28, 2018, Guell was admitted to an Ocala-area hospital for gunshot wounds. When police arrived at the hospital, Guell told them that he had been robbed at gunpoint and shot by an unknown assailant. Investigating further, police located Guell’s car and saw shell casings and handgun ammunition through the car’s window. When interviewed a second time, Guell admitted that he had been drinking in his car and had accidentally shot himself. A search of Guell’s vehicle revealed a semi-automatic handgun, 26 rounds of ammunition, and multiple shell casings.

As a convicted felon, Guell is prohibited from possessing any firearms or ammunition under federal law.

Except for the simple fact that such is not actually the case. The NRA has supported the implementation and passage of legal restrictions that address the actions of actual criminals, and supports the enforcement of existing firearm-related restrictions as written. What it does not do is support new firearm-related restrictions that apply only to the legal actions of legal firearm owners, that serve absolutely no purpose in addressing the actions of those who cannot legally own firearms.

The NRA has supported a plethora of gun control measures as you well know. I'm not even sure where this guy is getting his info from, the NRA firmly straddle the fence when viewed objectively.

The NRA has turned into an organization more dedicated to maintaining its own political influence and power rather than actually fighting to protect our Constitutional rights.

The intelligence of these idiots is best summed up in this part:

On October 18, 2018, an ATF Special Agent and BSO detectives arrested Denis outside a courtroom in the Broward County Courthouse in Fort Lauderdale when he arrived to attend a hearing in a pending state criminal case. In his pocket, Denis had a small container in which there were fourteen plastic zip-lock bags, each containing a small quantity of cocaine.

What level of stupid do you have to be to show up to a courthouse with 14 bags of cocaine in your pocket?

What gun law ever stopped a murder or a mass shooting?

There's only two "gun laws" that have any hope of being effective against criminals: Performing background checks (which doesn't keep them from getting a gun, but it does stop them from getting them in stores), and putting them in jail when they are illegally in possession of a firearm.

Since almost no one is prosecuted for trying to buy a gun illegally, or being in the possession of one illegally, there are no effective gun laws.

Here's a bit of education about your lack of knowledge regarding background check loopholes that don't exist.

Guess what you need to get in order to get a CCW?

    That's right, a background check.

The left thinks a guy who was illegally carrying a gun, had multiple felonies, and shows up to his state level criminal case with a pocket full of cocaine is going to follow whatever stupid law they pass.

There are people that have zero use for the law.

The only way to stop people like this from committing crimes is to jail them for life. People like that will never obey the law.

Then the progressive/leftists will come out screaming how can you put someone in jail for life over something so minor, or their old saw, doing that will result in too many men of color being jailed for life.

Jail a man for breaking the laws they want, and you're a racist if the offender is the wrong color.

Glad to see you agree that thevNRA has done nothing to solve any problem. Except of course the problem of how to fund the lavish lifestyles of the NRA elites.
