    Off topic, that is one of the strangest names for a high school ever - Oak Park and River Forest (OPRF) - Just pick one... Oak Park HS is nice.... River Forest HS is nice.... Both together doesn't work...

    In 2017, it was a hoax.... In 2019, for whatever purpose it's done, it's generally known what the new meaning references, even if it's done as a prank..

    Can I put up the middle finger in my yearbook picture, if I say it means our football team finished #1 in the state?? Sure, I can try, but I'll be called out on it and lose...

    If you don't want to appear to be an ass, I recommend people stop doing this in public (incl yearbook pics)... but it's their call...

    Your own source refutes your claim. At best, it became a self fulfilling prophesy, more realistically, a random moron on 4chan saw the post and adopted it before shooting a bunch of people.

    No, but if some idiot starts a hand sign like a W, and lets it be known that it's in support of Weiner, then people start doing that at ball games and in yearbooks, they are equally idiots...
