@Well Bonded is correct. In rural areas where demographics are more homogeneous like many EU countries our gun violence rate is on par with those countries. Rural families are more likely to teach gun safety to their young children and have a shotgun in the unlocked closet.

Gun violence is more of a city thing where cultural unity has broken down and drug related violence is rife.

Demographically it is a real problem first in black communities and next in Hispanic. There are many reasons for the culture difference from the long term effects of the evils of slavery to the destructive consequences of the welfare state.

That along with the glorification of gun violence by Hollywood which ironically those actors protest gun possession.

Teach your kids gun safety to insure they know how to properly and safely handle a gun.

You are so full of it, in the U.S. billions of rounds are fired annually with nothing being destroyed what so ever.

Yea, like music that glorifies cop killing, now that's some beauty.

A country where we have a G*d given right to possess guns for any lawful purpose.

If you don't like that there are plenty of other threads you can take you B.S. to.

My guns are always in my direct control or are locked in my safe, but not all people are responsible. I have no sympathy for them, but don’t punish me for their negligence. When my granddaughter is in my house, the Kimber sitting on my desk while I work at my computer goes in the safe. My youngest is 17 and can legally have access to guns in my home.

There is no scientific basis for telling the public to not own firearms, as the statement itself is not logical by any unit of measure. It is nothing more than political advocacy being presented in the guise of medical advice.

How do you know she doesn't excel in music. My 17 year old is a very accomplished alto saxophone player. He has been in the top band since his freshman year and will be first chair for his last 2 years. He gave up playing high school baseball to stay in the jazz band. My oldest son plays baritone and trombone. He is currently married with a daughter and in the USAF.

How is music going to protect her from a 250 pound rapist?

By expertise, competence, and agility ..... attributes that a 250 pound "would be" rapist does not possess.

The article is far from establishing a scientific basis for anything; it’s text book for how to present propaganda cloaked in a faux scientific appearing ‘study’ designed to reinforce those already predisposed to an anti-gun narrative, but is at it’s core a deeply flawed and orchestrated for reinforcing bias. At best, it is a commentary on how not to teach gun safety.

Nor, is there any attempt to identify how effective gun safety training can be conducted. It’s just the old repackaged narrative that removing guns is the answer.
I believe knowledge is power and provides potential for improving survival odds where the approach of GCAs is, some knowledge should be forbidden. Translated to the Down Under, kill all snakes and spiders... they are all bad.

Really, please provide some facts to backup that specious claim with.

BTW, you still haven’t answered my question about what you’d do if you encountered a toddler with a found gun. I suspect it’s because you really don’t know anything about gun safety and are afraid to reveal that. In that respect, you are little different than the toddler in this question’s scenario and in fact would be a treat to the Toddler’s, yours, and anyone else’s safety nearby.

It’s obvious you know nothing of gun safety and would be clueless on handling such a situation, making you as dangerous as the toddler holding the gun.

    LMFAO!

    What a ridiculous response.

No, there is no way a 100 pound women can fend off a 250 pound rapist without using some kind of a weapon preferably a gun.

"Fend"? Where in my response did I say "fend" and where in your post did you say anything about 100 pound women? You're just making it up as you go along. People who see guns as a necessary weapon have weak egos. Maybe you should read my response again and let it sink in.

Oh, I don’t know. Like accuracy, everything is relative.... that might be considered long range with a pistol, a black powder gun, a shotgun with slugs, a rifle with open sights, or me with my eyes without optics.
But, then, if you have a rifle with optics that can shoot MOA, you probably have one of those dangerous ‘Sniper Weapons’ that many GCAs think should be banned... no reason for them...why would you need to shoot long range?

It would suck to walk around your neighborhood when being found to be committing a crime, by the time the shot is heard, the perp will be on the ground, bleeding out, realizing that that he or she just did, was not a too bright of an idea.

    Darwin at it's best.
