sad, but not unexpected from Trump... Trump was embarrassed by this

"The internet mocks Trump for saying ‘raking’ forest floors would prevent California wildfires"

At least the majority of layoffs appear to be in red states.

What do I call that? A good start. Almost 20% of the country works for government at some level or the other long term that isn't sustainable.

This was a revenge play pure and simple. The dirty little man's fragile ego was damaged when the Internet laughed at his "rake the forests" idiocy. It's fun to laugh at Trump and watch him go bonkers. I hope to God they took his nuclear button away from him. What happens if Australia pisses him off?

Actually, boy genius, government expenditures have been running 18-20% of GDP since WW II. We seem to be sustaining quite well what with our monstrous economy and global hegemony.

How much land is owned by the Federal Government? Most of the land in Western states needs to be auctioned off to the highest American bidder in 100 acre parcels. Every acre they own is an acre taken away from that state's tax base and from the use of private business. Save a few national parks, but sell the rest for America to use. They only need post offices and military bases.

Why? That isn't out of line with other industrialized nations. And in places like China it has been 80-90%

How many trillions of dollars from land sales could go to paying down the deficit? Then all of that land will be accessible to Americans and will generate tax dollars instead of using them.

So there is no use for the land as it is? Watershed, timber, grazing land... none of that matters eh? This land is accessible to Americans. I used to have tens of thousands of acres on the other side of my fence.

And we should eliminate all of the military bases as well?

This so dirty donald can give tax breaks to billionaires?

Most of our military bases are polluted and contaminated with hazardous chemicals.Usually drinking water aquifers in and around them are polluted.

That 18 to 20 is strictly federal, the States, cities and counties have far more workers than the Feds and a lot of those are there because of unfunded federal mandates.

For each government layoff, public union stifled, corrupt crony contract curtailed, graft grant shut down, pork project prevented, tax lowered, regulation repealed, redistributionary vote buying scheme thwarted, Trump becomes more powerful, and more importantly the uncertain future of this country becomes brighter.

Happy Memorial Day to patriots and honest American taxpayers!

The rest of you, the greedy parasites of the gov-edu-union-contractor-grantee-trial lawyer-MSM Complex, the ones who advocate self-enrichment via greater and greater theft under the illusion of endless, rotten, divisive lie narratives, you can all go to Hell where you belong. Godspeed.
