Will everyone who had the Russians change their mind from voting for Hillary to voting for Trump please hold up your hand. Enough already. It's almost time for another election plus we have a crisis at our southern border.

Papastox, stop the fake news. The real news is that on SEP 2016: Obama asked McConnell to co-write a LETTER of CONDEMNATION of Russian interference into the upcoming election and to alert US. The CIA DIR had briefed BOTH parties Congr'l leaders of the same. McConnell told Brennan, “You’re trying to screw the Republican nominee.” McCONNELL REFUSED to sign the letter. The rest is history!

Putin and Trump are criminal allies, as you well know.

What happened was they paid over 350k rubles directly to a candidate's opposition campaign.

Oh wait a minute, I'm thinking about that time the Obama administration funded the opposition to Netanyahu.

But Putin really is on record as saying "We should have made sure that we did something to determine who was going to win."

Oops. Sorry again. That was Hillary Clinton blasting George Bush for not interfering with the Palestinian election.

Come to think of it. I'm not quite sure what Russia did.

I thought it was the million dollars they got to fabricate opposition research that could be compiled into a dossier that would smear an American candidate.

Boy I wish we knew where that million dollars came from.

A cool million for 35 pages. Not a bad gig. Have em write a Robert Jordan style series, tax em at 10% and that universal healthcare funding problem disappears.

There is no proof that Russia "interfered" in the election. None.

For sure every country does everything it can to influence American politics. For sure many Americans are influenced by foreign persuasion.

For sure we play the same game in foreign elections.

The fact that the Russians have an interest is not what you need to be defending against. What there is no evidence of is the charge that the people we elected had anything to do with it. Don't get lost in an argument about Russian meddling when the actual argument is whether or not the election they meddled in was legitimate.

The Russians did not jeopardize the legitimacy of the American election because there's no evidence that they did.

Of course, as only so many can fit on the leading edge. However there are more progressives than liberals. In case you didn't notice, both Trump and lil' Bush lost the popular vote.

There was a time when conservatives would have been ready for war, had Russia tried anything, now it is like, meh, whatever.

Actually I think it has been Republican voter suppression efforts are what have been de-legitimizing US elections.

I stand by my statement. It's one thing to allege Russian "influence" or "involvement" in the election, but "interference" carries far more serious connotations. So if the lying liars in the government and the corporate media want to allege Russian "interference" in US elections, then they need to meet a very high standard of proof before reasonable people will believe them. Thus far, they've provided zero proof in support of their inflammatory accusations, just like they provided zero proof that Saddam had "weapons of mass destruction" or that Assad "gassed his own people". Virtually everything that comes out of Washington DC is a gigantic lie. So given their track record, the only reasonable way to approach the situation is to assume they're lying until proven otherwise by evidence that is both quantitatively and qualitatively robust.

funny how that is isn't it?

Now it's the democrats who want war.

They want war with Russia, NK and who knows who else.

Trump is keeping the peace and you folks criticize him every day for it.

Shame on you for wanting to sacrifice our troops.

Nothing you say will change the fact that no proof of Russian "interference" exists.

In your own words, what do you think is the single most compelling fact which proves or tends to prove that the Russian state "interfered" in the 2016 US elections?

How far did you have to stretch for this one? And to think that there are people who think that I am being a little too partisan when I point out that one of the pillars of conservatism is to make up stuff, especially stuff that dishonestly puts liberals in a bad light.

They hacked into DNC servers, and stole copies of emails. Do I need to remind you that the congressional Republicans repeatedly investigated Hillary Clinton (and the right wing media repeatedly commented on) for a non-existent email scandal, with the express purpose of reducing her electability. What to better help that false narrative along than to hack into DNC emails.
