2020 will be a tossup. Don't get too overconfident, Democrats.

Ohio is trending Republican, but Democrats, you should still contest Ohio's 18 electoral votes in 2020.
Despite this pro-Trump video from InfoWars, Democrats can still put Ohio into play. Obama won it in 2008 and 2012, had John Kerry won it in 2004, we would have had a President Kerry, had Gore not pull Ohio's resources in his lackluster campaign, Florida would not have mattered in 2000.

It's surprising how even in the city of Cleveland, Trump has a lot of support for reelection.

He still is a racist in my opinion, he should have never said that about Obama's birth certificate.

People don't seem to tell pollsters the truth when it comes to Trump, I don't think you can trust the polls in this race.

They lied their asses off last election.

People don't tell pollsters the truth, because there is a large shy Trump vote.

It is socially unacceptable to support Trump.

It's all down to who wins the nomination for the democrats. I am not very optimistic.

The election is still a long way off. It ain't over till it's over. Forget the polls (Hillary will win). Don't trust the media (Dewey beats Truman). Listen to the candidates and listen for details not clichés. And when the candidates promise you something for free ask yourself if it will help the country. Do not vote for anyone who divides people up into groups. Do not vote for anyone who favors one group of people over others.

Those are people who are socially brave.

Those are the diehard, core Trump base voters.

Obama-Trump voters would never wear that MAGA wear and they voted for Trump out of frustration.

I don't accept the theory that the Trumpsters are persecuted by the rest of the population.

The others are ironically the majority of voters, since Trump is supported by a minority.

On the other hand, I understand that it's often shameful to admit that we support a thug like Trump.

Who's by far the most acrimonious President since Nixon.

I'm trying to get my head around putting Democrats and overconfident together.

I believe a Biden nomination would be the equal to voter suppression:)

Not really. The polls said Clinton had a lead with likely voters going in to the election. Clinton did receive more votes - about 3 million more. They just weren't in the places she needed them. So the polls were not that far off.

And no, I'm not saying Clinton won. Just pointing out that the polls weren't too far out of sync with the voters.

I agree. And I have always said the same. When it comes to votes they are useful to spot trends. But it's unwise to trust the raw numbers.

I so hope Biden is the nominee but I don't see him lasting much longer. I think he is just there as a foil. The Democrats might beg gavin Newsom to run.

They have several others who are better than Newsom. Hopefully they won’t nominate Biden. He’s way past it. But knowing Democrat voters they may shoot themselves in the foot again.

The DNC picks the nominee, not the voter.

Nate Silver only gave Trump a 2% chance to win the nomination.

He was so far off he had to publicly apologize in writing for it.

The Democrats will coalesce around whoever the Dem nominee is.

IMO, Trump is very vulnerable to losing in 2020. He will have to work very hard to win the swing states that he won in 2016. If he doesn't win them, he's out.

Up until Trump, so did the RNC. Democrats May have learned their lesson last time. No more bs Superdelegates and California and Texas are early this year. They may nominate a pleasant surprise this time. At least I hope so. I would not even be shocked if the GOP came to their senses and dump Trump. It sure would be nice to see a couple good candidates run.

Rand Paul, Ben Sasse, Justin Amasse and I am sure there are some others I don’t know about. However I do not buy into this whole left vs right crap. I respect people’s honest opinions and integrity no matter which party they belong to.
