Sounds like a continue te Clinton policies. With that said homeownership is great. The problem is the subprime lending...which start under Carter

Slick Willie increased taxes and was in the way to paying down debt. It can be done.

You just can't bring yourself to see that Dufus Bush failed to regulate mortgage lending. We weren't headed in a good direction when Bush stepped on the gas instead of hitting the brakes.

Please. We're home to some transnational corporations that are loyal to making money, not this country.

It's not easy, but we have to do it or see this country get lapped.

If we want more technologically skilled workers, stop subsidizing people taking communications and sociology.

Both parties are the same, by letting politicians know they can play the blame game allows this to perpetuate. Dems and Republicans are just as bad and just as guilty. And everyone's taxes will go up for sure. but you and your employer won't be paying $10,000 a year for health insurance either. No one says anything about the feds subsiding their health care by allowing their employer a 30% deduction and then another 20% deduction to the employee. Remove that almost 50% federal subsidy and people see that Medicare for all doesn't cost as much as some assume. we are going to still spend that proportion of our GDP to healthcare. Right now we pay for it in goods that we buy whose costs to manufacture (which insurance is one) are included in the sell price.

Sorry about going off on this tangent, but people don't pay for the healthcare directly so they don't understand where this money comes from to pay the providers. We need a flat tax- no deductions except for a personal deduction based on family size. A 5% deduction for 401 capped at $50,000 yearly contribution. And a guaranteed retirement benefit of 150% of the fed poverty level. about 18,000 for single and 24,000 for married. Do this for everyone under 46. and in 30 years we will no longer have this time bomb.

We make businesses pay for our retirement (matching SS and medicare contributions) and our healthcare. The we ask these businesses to compete with China or Europe that does not have these extra labor costs. We are tying their hands behind their back. American business should not bear these costs, their job is to make money for their shareholders and that those shareholders can pay tax on those earnings and provide employment for Americans.

Are you really this clueless? If revenue is up, why are we projecting a $1t deficit? You're repeating propaganda you've heard.

Why have a global depression so we can stiff our creditors, mostly ourselves?

If they are not paying taxes now, they would not have to pay taxes under the previous tax rates because it only changed the rates.
