The majority of black males killed by violence are being killed by other black males. (just like the majority of white males killed by violence are being killed by other white males). We tend to all prey on and kill our own race for the most part.

This is true, but not in this context...especially in light of how ghetto life positions one in the closest proximity to be sucked in by criminality. Is it reasonable and rational to compare criminals' gunfire output, to cop's gunfire output?


One is a criminal trying to survive, and the other is a cop supposedly protecting We The People.

 

I don't want cops to have a quota in terms of how many people they can shoot and of what race, which seems to be what you are suggesting. That said, I think the training we give cops has to change. the number of police shootings has gone up tremendously in recent years. Also, cops are supposed to be shooting to save the public as a whole, as well as themselves. They, of course, have more justification to kill people than the rest of us.
