How am I a "trumper"? I started a thread recently saying that he had his chance and now it was time for him to go.

republicans have already passed laws to allow this, they just don't want the mother to decide, they want the government to decide for them... especially if the mother is poor

They did not pass New York's law. You guys hit the wasps nest with your sudden drive to liberalize abortion even more even though the public does not support it triggered these attempts by the states to push it to the SCOTUS.

It actually costs more to keep execute someone than to give them life in prison. The death penalty carries with it several years of manitory apeals and other such things that adds more and more cost to the sentence, and the person can sit on death row for several decades.

Neither of them wants to do that. It is purely a Trump lie that his followers have swallowed hook, line, and sinker.

"Sun Hudson (search) was born Sept. 25 with thanatophoric dysplasia(search), an incurable and fatal form of dwarfism. Doctors said his tiny lungs would never fully grow and that he would never breathe on his own."

"Doctors at Texas Children's Hospital unanimously agreed that Sun would never breathe on his own, was in pain and would eventually die from his condition."

    "
The doctors brought the case before a hospital ethics committee, which sided with them. But because Wanda Hudson disagreed, they were obligated to seek treatment for Sun elsewhere. Every facility they tried agreed with their prognosis.

"The provision in the statute indicates if doctors think treatment is futile and the relative doesn't want to take the patient off life support, then they can try to make provisions for care in another facility," Maxine Harrington, an associate professor at the Texas Wesleyan University School of Law(search), told FOXNews.com. "They tried about 40 other facilities, and finally petitioned the court to authorize removal of life support."

-Sorry the law passed in NY State, does not require the Doctor's to look for other hospitals, or any Due Process. The laws are drastically different.

New York passed the law and the state legislators gave it a standing ovation.

Should Trump now invite these exonerated Americans to the White House and give them Big Macs as an act of reconciliation, and as a sign that he does not begrudge the innocent teenagers having lived to achieve justice despite his media campaign to kill them?

The law in question is not as you and Trump have characterized it.

Why? It sounds like it's the Government of NYC's problem....which was lead by a Dem DA who prosecuted them, and with held valuable evidence.

Desperate as you may be, you cannot evade the reality that it was Trump and Trump alone who took out full-page newspaper ads calling for the teenagers to be killed before any had been tried.

That his call for their deaths was ignored, and their innocence subsequently proven under our system of jurisprudence, is a disparate matter from his personal, (fortunately) failed, public demand that they all be killed.

Of course he did...based on what the Dem DA was saying. It was a horrible crime, I can't help but image what people in NYC were feeling during the 80s were the entire city was unsafe, Central Park was a dangerous place. I'm sure he was frustrated.

He called for the return of the death penalty to NY, not just for these people, but for future crimes.

What you can't ignore in your desperate attempt to do so, was that it was Dem DA, that went after these folks...that hide evidence, that overlooked the force confession, and made a mockery of our criminal justice system.

Hilarious. You are actually trying to claim that Trump was forced to spend $85,000 on newspaper ads calling for the death of five teenagers before they had been tried because of what a district attorney said?

    What did she say?

Wasn't forced to at all....he simply had an opinion based on the evidence presented by the Dem DA.

The Dem DA claimed these 5 brutally raped and tortued, to near death, this young innocent lady. Four hours after the violent assault she was found gagged, naked, covered in blood and mud. The young woman was comatose for 12 days. She suffered severe hypothermia, severe brain damage, Class 4 (the most severe) hemorrhagic shock, loss of 75–80 percent of her blood, and internal bleeding.[ Her skull had been fracturedso badly that her left eye was dislodged from its socket, which in turn was fractured in 21 places, and she suffered as well from facial fractures. She somehow was able to survive.

This attack brought about a lot of public reaction....the NY Times headline read: NIGHTMARE IN CENTRAL PARK, Teen Wolfpack Beats and Rapes Wall Street Exec on Jogging Path

I hadn't thought of that. If only he was man enough to admit to his error, he would apologize for his error and make up for his stupidity. However, far right pundits rarely elevate themselves to such a level and it is likely that he will never do so.

is it alive today, or did Bush's law kill it against the mothers will?

    abortion = miscarriage

so maybe we call it murder to do what Bush's law does killing a baby after it is born against the mothers will

It would be a magnanimous gesture.

A rich and privileged guy spending $85,000 calling for five teenagers, subsequently proven to be innocent, to be killed before they had even been tried deserves more than a
