If as a Republican you think this is biased you’d best pay attention.

He doesn't even need a strategy at this point. He will be unstoppable in 2020.

People have always credited the president with the economy, forgetting that we don't have a command economy.

I've heard that before. Prior to the midterms many Trump supporters were stating on this site that the GOP would keep the house because of the good economy. There's a huge disconnect between how folks view Trump on the economy and how they view his overall job performance.

The economy, he is given 50.8% approval, 43.5% disapproval. This is down a couple of points from last week.

    https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/president_trump_job_approval-6179.html

    Trump's overall job approval, 44.1%, disapproval 52.7%

    https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/president_trump_job_approval-6179.html

This is up a point from last week. The seven point difference in approval and nine in disapproval between the two is unheard of. Normally they're within a couple of points of each other. Something else is at play here besides the economy.

Actually on 8 Nov 2018 Trump's numbers on the economy was higher than today 53% approve, 41% disapproval, his overall job performance was 43% and 53% disapprove which was a bit lower than today.

I think how folks view Trump has little to do with the economy. Relying on the economy to win reelection is a mistake in my opinion. I've said all along since Trump became president that his overall job approval/disapproval and his favorable/unfavorable's has more to due with his personality and his very unpresidential behavior. Sure most Republicans love him, most Democrats hate him. But national elections are usually decided by those in the middle, the non-affiliated, less to non-partisan's that we call independents.

I think Trump's brash, in your face persona makes him an easy man to dislike by independents who don't pay much attention to politics like us political junkies. That dislike for Trump's unorthodox behavior as president has led to a lot of independents to think he is a bad president because they don't much care for him personally or as a man. Without Hillary Clinton running against him, that may be a hill too steep to climb. But we'll see as this is just my opinion. Always has been.

The Democrats know that from experience. Or rather, they would know it if they could just stop making excuses. But knowing that Trump will win is not complacency; it is simply discernment.

Just like it did for your BLOTUS in 2018?

If that is all you have left your BLOTUS is already toast for 2020.

How long are you people going to keep screeching, "Trump is Hitler, Trump is Hitler!"? It's been more than two years since the election now, Congress still exists, the Supreme Court still exists and takes no orders from Trump, no one has been killed, no laws have been suspended, no federal police force exists, no martial law has been declared, no territories have been seized, nothing of any consequence has changed in the US in the last two plus years, but here you are still screeching, "Trump is Hitler, Trump is Hitler!" Give it the **** up already, it was tired and passé in 2016.

And how does this dem primary differ from the republican one 2 years ago? I don't even think Trump was even a candidate at this time.

Now I agree with you that Trump will be fine on the campaign trail.

3000 people died in Puerto Rico on your BLOTUS's watch.

24 immigrants have died, 6 of them CHILDREN, because of your BLOTUS's malign policies.

THOUSANDS of regulations have been suspended and your BLOTUS has unilaterally VIOLATED treaties with other nations.

Kneejerk DENIALISM by BLOTUS supporters does NOT alter FACTUALLY DOCUMENTED REALITY!

Lots of misinformation here. People in PR died due to a hurricane and the local governments own ineptitude.

Those children that died...they died due to their own parents stupidity. And all but one(?) Died while in a hospital. They tried all that they could to save those children. The parents don't even blame them. Only Trump haters blame Trump.

As for treaties...every treaty needs renegotiated every once in awhile. Too bad for you Trump has the balls to get it done.

As for regulations....good. There were far to many anyways. When a government becomes so big that the ordinary citizen cannot keep track of the laws then that government needs to be reduced.

Complacency was almost entirely why we lost in 2016. We all thought we'd won already and so did most of you as well; but this was the first time a genuine bigot was on the ballot for a major party so ALL of you came out while LOTS of us stayed home. Even so you only won on the technicality where pubs always win the really close ones on the EC. (But that's no excuse, you still shouldn't have been even close.) In any case I don't foresee that happening again. We realize that we have to win by a good deal to REALLY win AND President Putin-Trump will be doing everything but having actual KGB agents in each voting booth with special issue hand aides (you know, the ones that look just like knuckle dusters) to make sure there are no "irregularities"

I repeat, no one has been killed. People died from a hurricane, people died from exposure to the elements while taking the unnecessary and illegal risk of crossing the border, people died from disease, but no one has been killed. Suspending regulations is within the powers of the president. Suspending laws is not, but Trump hasn't done that. Do you know who did? Barack Obama. But you didn't call him Hitler. The Trump/Hitler claim is so much fart gas.

I've given you factually documented reality. That you still screech "Hitler! Hitler! Hitler!" is regurgitated kneejerk denialism. And I'm not a Trump supporter, I'm just not a liberal with his head up his ass.

Trump is further along now than the Nazis were in 1935. Not even Hitler was Hitler 2 years in.

Puerile PF rule VIOLATION disqualifies you from any further meaningful interaction on this topic as far as I am concerned.

I didn't say I was a moderate, I'm more right-wing than 99% of the Republican party, but I'm not a Republican and I'm not a Trump supporter. What I am is someone not deluded into thinking that Trump is Hitler. I know what Hitler would look like and Trump isn't it. The danger today is all from the left, not the right. The left has Antifa, the left is promoting violence, the left is promoting censorship, the left is promoting attacks on people's livelihoods, the left is promoting harassment and disruption of people's lives, the left is promoting keeping people from getting credit cards and bank accounts, the left is promoting doxxing, and why? Wrongthink. Disagreeing with the left today is far more dangerous than disagreeing with Trump or the right wing. If Hitler comes from anywhere, it will be from the Democratic left. He will look like one of YOU.
