Whiny loser, stay out of my state. Talent from all over the world stream in 24/7/365. It’s been that way since I got here in ‘64.

In the last five years you've lost more people than you've gained and what you've gained is mostly illegal immigrants, who are living in tents amid the skyscrapers.

I know the tech world is quite small, but it is the industry that I grew up with, professionally. And I am also quite aware that all centers of technological innovation tend to lean overwhelmingly to the left.

The thing though, is that the Democratic Party has long had two branches. The one, the more liberal part, is more representative of intellectual pursuits. It is the branch that appeals to scientists, engineers, artists, and writers. Then there is the more centrist public welfare wing, which is more concerned with social issues. Incidentally, many of their ideas overlap. An intellectual can calculate the efficiencies of a public option healthcare system, and the general welfare side can see the benefits to average people.

Most of those living in tents are disgruntled Republicans. I saw Dana Rohrbacher taking a crap outside his tent yesterday.

They are too busy crying because they can’t buy silencers and banana clips full of copper jacketed hollow points at Walgreens anymore. That’s what seems to get our new, less educated, more hateful GOP voter of today excited. Back in the day, Republicans were cool, smart guys who liked jazz, supported abortion rights, and Hugh Hefner and weren’t afraid to smoke a jount back in the ‘50s. It was a Republican who turned me on to Chet Baker, Art Pepper and Hampton Hawes.

I've heard it referred to as the 5 great liberal cities: The Bay Area, Portland, Seattle, Boulder, and the Twin Cities. All are mostly White, have a significantly larger than average rate of college education, vote at twice the national average.

Republican politics never get any traction. I get a kick out of Republicans insisting that Democrats are bad for business. Yet, the West Coast cities are driving the economy.

The notion/ image of a "waste bin" per governor Newsom has to be demoralizing to Republicans. Discarded garbage is what we throw into the "waste bin", things that we don't want anymore. Powerful language. I live in metro Los Angeles in a community of many immigrants with strong accents/ cultural identity. There are the usual Latinos/ Asians of every stripe like one sees everywhere in California. But the immigrants with the largest ethnic majority here are Armenian and most are from Iran/ Syria/ Iraq. Christians mostly, who fled the horrors of war/ extreme Muslim ideology/ persecution. And like their neighbors, they vote Democratic overwhelmingly because jingoistic/ racist-prone Republicans scare them. This is Adam Schiff's district where he has never lost an election in some 20 years, a congressional district larger than many states. Republicans lose election after election not because of voting fraud. They are rejected because of what kind of people they are, the kind of people who would elect someone like Trump. Goodbye/ good riddance GOP, sadly you are not welcomed in California anymore.

It was those freaking Black Panthers who abused their constitutional rights that led to those California gun laws.

It was the Crips and Bloods who used AK-47's in drive bye shootings in Los Angeles that led to the left in California to pass America's first "black scary looking gun" laws.

What the liberals didn't know that AK's are not AR's.

What liberals didn't know that the AR-15 was sold as a hunting rifle years before the U.S. military was forced to adopt the M-16.

What liberals don't know that the Remington .223 / 5.56X45 is a varmint hunting cartridge for shooting ground hogs and little squirrels.

What the liberals don't want to talk about is that Democrats signed off on allowing the Chi-Coms to import and flood America with 400,000 AK-47's in exchange for illegal campaign contributions to the DNC and the Clinton's campaign.

The M-16 fires from a closed bolt and when in the full auto mode you are likely to have a stoppage (jam) because of overheating.

The Hollywood left has made a crap load of Vietnam war movies and never show that happening.

All squad automatic rifle, sub machine guns and machine guns fire from an open bolt.

I've heard that before. After Goldwater's defeat in a landslide by LBJ where Barry only received 38% of the national vote and the Republicans lost 36 House Seats bringing their total down to 140. It was said it would take 20 years for the GOP to recover. It took only 4 with Nixon's win in 1968 and the GOP picked up 47 house seats.

After Watergate the same thing was being said. The demise of the GOP was at hand. But in 1980 Reagan changed all of that with his presidential win, the Republicans picked up 44 house seats and took control of the senate for the first time since 1954.

Then it was said with Reagan in the White House and now the GOP solid south that it guaranteed the Republicans the presidency for the next 30 years. Several books were written on the Republican lock on the presidency. That lasted until 1992. The point is one party or the other is always on the brink of extinction. At least by the pundits.

Here's the trends in party affiliation where one can see it has been the democratic party which has lost the most members over the years. Although the GOP has also lost which means both parties are shrinking.

    https://www.people-press.org/interactives/party-id-trend/

Gallup as of 12 May 2019 places party affiliation at 31% Democrat, 30% Republican, 38% independent.

It kinda looks like the Democratic party is the party in real trouble.

The Republican party has always been the minority party over the past 80 or so years.

The Democratic party threw the white working middle class under the bus thirty or so years ago but the burned out white liberal hippies of the Democratic leadership haven't been listening to the reconquista socialist in their party...there is no place for whites in the new socialist Democratic party.

The cultural-marxist hate being called cultural-marxist and prefer the politically correct term for cultural-marxism, political correctness.

Did you overlook the question about Californian's seemingly passing every tax hike? Please explain if you don't mind.

Racists who are offended to be called racist. Just like Republican so-called "Christians" get all upset when confronted about their anti-Christ impulses. Clearly we are dealing with hypocrite bigots of the worst kind and why they can even run a candidate in statewide elections. Think about that. Republicans can't even get enough votes to be put on the ballot in California. Reagan rolls over in his grave in disbelief.
