https://www.cnn.com/2019/06/19/politics/donald-trump-election-2020-democrats/index.html This rally was an announcement of a re-election bid that was created before Trump was sworn into office and it showed. Trump talked about Hillary Clinton, someone who is not running in 2020, at least eight different times and he talked about only one 2020 Democratic candidate, Biden, once. Trump is trying to re-motivate a base that already worships him and failed to demonstrate any difference in behavior or messaging from the one that resulted in a historic loss for House Republicans in 2018. Trump told at least fifteen falsehoods in the 76 minute speech, including the one where he took credit for passing a Veteran's bill that was passed under Obama. Trump gave this speech in a town that despises him, after the local newspaper endorsed "anyone but Trump," and on the day that a poll was released showing Trump losing Florida by 9 points to Biden.
Oldies but Goodies! When you have a solid set it's best to stick with that routine and add new material slowly It's all show biz brudda!
Throwing Red Meat to his ever-shrinking "base", while making no effort to expand his appeal to the 60% of America that despises him.::smh: Watching this Trump CLOWN get increasingly more unraveled (especially next year, when he realizes that he is going to LOSE) will be must-see tv.
I hope Trump will bring out as many old classics as possible. - The true unemployment rate is 42%. - I will make my tax return public when my audit is completed. - We're going to build a wall and Mexico gonna pay for it And many others....
Sure he is, AJ. It's called "Expanding the Economy" You'd be amazed how happy people get when they're working - something any number of LW snowflakes aren't as full-time protesters. You sound pretty positive of this over a year away from Election Day. Why not make a thread and bet your membership on the results? Sounds like a sure thing for you.
And yet, the most recent election (hint: it took place in 2018 ) demonstrated that Trump's base is not enough.
I wanna hear the Democratic nom’s platform, will it be the 30 trillion dollar green deal garbage. Try selling that to AJ's 60%.
Speaking of "Trump's Wall". Trump could have his picture taken next to a 6-Inch Row of Popsicle sticks, and His Sycophants would see The Great Wall of China. ^In fact, after that Photo-Op, Breitbart would post a story about how Mexico paid for it and it was visible from Outer Space... ...and by the end of the day there would be 10 threads about it at PF... Donald Trump? The Pathetic Orange Buffoon is Still Obsessed With Hillary?
All he had to accomplish for ther admiration was be white, hate and fear the same folks they do, and make them feel empowered. A snake oil salesman and 4 out of 10 Americans are completely suckered.
I wanna hear about that "most amazing healthcare plan ever" that Trump is supposed to release in the next month...or was it in in the next two months...or wait, aren't we supposed to wait until after Trump gets re-elected to even hear about the details?
On which topic? Because there is an extremely strong chance that all of the Democratic Candidates have a stronger and more detailed plan than anything being offered by Trump despite being in office for two years.
What about the $4,000 in increase in paycheck that EVERY American was supposed to get from the corporate tax cut alone?
Yeah, Trump would rather Make America Pollute Again. https://www.cnn.com/2019/06/19/politics/epa-rolls-back-obama-coal-emissions/index.html
I'm not entirely sure of that. I mean, the GOP gained seats in the Senate. Not exactly an easy feat considering. No way am I saying it's gonna be a cakewalk for Trump but I still think he could win again. It's too bad you missed out on all the fun threads and posts made here mid-late 2016 where you had scads of people swearing that Hilla was a lock and there was absolutely no way Trump would be prez. Search Gorn Captain and see where he was making five freakin' threads A DAY on the subject. If you really want a laugh, search "bookmark" made by "Andrew Jackson" in 2016. He did ask us to, after all.
Considering that Democrats had 26 seats on the chopping block compared to 9 seats for the Republicans? 10 of those Democratic seats being in States that Trump won, 5 of which by double digits? And no, I think every Democrat learned the lesson from 2016 (hence why 2018 was such a landslide). The only poll that matters is the one on the election day.
There is literally a link there for you to read and learn instead of posing dumb questions. Pro-tip: There's another link inside that quote that you can also click on if you wish to learn more.
I am happy to hear that you care about addressing the threat of climate change and I am happy to report that all of the Democratic candidates have plans to address and combat climate change. Trump failed to mention it even once during his speech last night and his EPA just released a plan to make climate change worse.
What was historic about the 2018 house election? Nothing. It was less than the average losses incurred going back to JFK. I'm glad you enjoyed the rally as much as the rest of us though.
