Sure it is, or at least it started out as a question until the atheists dodged it in which case it became a statement.

The FACT is that atheists are atheists on FAITH ALONE, they have NO FACTS to base their belief that no Gods exist.

NO FACTS are proof its not a projection but logic and reason that atheists failed in school.

BTW I am AGNOSTIC NOT THEIST.

THAT SAID I await YOUR FACTS PROVING that no Gods exist.

Once you PROVE the point with FACTS (not faith) I will accept that No God exists and by default that you have used LOGIC and REASON, but until then atheists can enjoy their fanciful delusions of grandeur.

Asinine STRAWMAN and MOVING of the GOALPOSTS duly noted for the record!

Onus is now ENTIRELY on YOU to EXPLAIN WHY you are now DEMANDING "facts" when your original FALLACY was about "reason and logic".

The existence of YOUR theist "creator" is a logical paradox based upon the attributes that theists use to define their imaginary deity.

That is undeniable logic and reason that you cannot refute.

Thank you for establishing that you cannot deny your fallacious strawman and moving of the goalposts.

Thank you for establishing that atheists cant deny that ATHEISM is nothing more than fanciful delusion, based in FAITH, NOT logic, NOT reason.

When religion and the state become enmeshed resulting in obscenities such as abortion being banned, even if a woman was raped by her father or brother, and when so called Right to Lifers dictate those suffering unbearable pain of terminal illness are forbidden assisted suicide I get more than intolerant, I fight back.
Just because you believer Jesus suffered for your supposed sins you have no right to force every other member of our species onto the cross. Your sadistic deity is worse than a fairy tale, he’s a monster.

That is a political issues, not a religious one.

Oddly, I'm not religious but nobody is forcing you to change your beliefs. What do you fear?

When religious ‘morality’ imposes itself on citizens through the state religious issues become political.
I have no ‘beliefs’ in the religious sense. What I object to is so called ‘religious morality’ being shoved down my neck by lack of separation between religion and the state.

I believe abortion is murder and not for any religious reason. I ask if a fetus is alive and is not human what is it? The answers I get are illogical and unsatisfactory. A fetus is a human to me - biologically, not religiously.
So you fear religious symbols since nobody is shoving anything down your throat. Apparently you have a belief that someone else's beliefs hurt you. That makes no sense at all. I have no religious beliefs either but I certainly don't fear religion. I think it is good for society.

    .

    Who did you ask?
I have NEVER seen anyone say a fetus is not alive...I certainly have never said that.

    It is alive .

I have NEVER seen anyone say a human fetus is not human.

What TF else would it be?

Are those answers "illogical and unsatisfactory" ?

A human fetus is human (adjective) ...it is NOT a human (noun) as in "legal person", not until birth.

Abortion is a legal medical procedure and not murder.

WHERE in the comment you quoted did it say "symbols"

Here it is, please point it out: """I have no ‘beliefs’ in the religious sense. What I object to is so called ‘religious morality’ being shoved down my neck by lack of separation between religion and the state.""

Makes perfect sense if they try to legislate their religious beliefs.

    No, not always....

Then ask me a question again and read my answer again if you believe I have been evasive....anyone can read through this thread and see for them selves so put up or shut up.

why do atheists pretend their position is based in logic and reason when they have no fact that God does not exist on which to base that conclusion?

Why do believers pretend their position is based in logic and reason when they have shown no facts to prove that God does exist ?

How silly to believe anyone has to prove a negative.

If I claim there are pink zebras and striped flamingos walking down mystreet do they really exist because you can't prove they aren't .?

    Quite satisfactory.

Unsatisfactory. If it is NOT a human (noun) what is it? Abortion is legal but, in my view it is murder. It can be and is both in my view. I get the same responses from all abortion supporters but none of them work for me at all.

Nowhere. It was my term to describe what you did say.

You said that before. No need to repeat it.

They aren't trying to legislate religious belief. They are trying to legislate a political position that disagrees with yours.

    Of course it is.

Please DO look up "noun" and "adjective".

Well, it works for the law and women's right to their own bodies which trumps your opinion.

It wasn't me who posted , """I have no ‘beliefs’ in the religious sense. What I object to is so called ‘religious morality’ being shoved down my neck by lack of separation between religion and the state.""

It was another poster and THEY did NOT mention "symbols".

I guess there was...you thought I posted it.

Ya, they are...many Anti-Choicers base their desire to demolish women's right to their own bodies based on religious beliefs.

How is being against abortion a political belief?

    No, not always...

There is no proof that a god exists OR doesn't exist.

Atheism and theism are equals in that question.

BUT, theists continue with their fundamental assumption that god exists when making decisions.

On the other hand, atheists do NOT use any assumption about god existing or not existing. This question just doesn't enter into any decision.

    Correct up until this point.

Atheists continue with the opposing fundamental assumption, that god(s) do NOT exist.

The vast majority of global Christianity once rejected democracy too.

Why would an atheist keep bringing up the question of god? It's just not a relavent issue in any way.

A person who is labeled as an atheist is being labeled by what they are NOT - not by what they ARE. That is a huge difference.

A person can't (and doesn't try to) base their decisions on what they DON'T believe.

They do not. They lack belief in a god or gods. That is not a belief. That is the opposite of belief.

Many who oppose abortion do so due to the general family of belief in that a fetus is a human being with a soul. To them, it may well seem that it is murder - even though you and I may disagree with that analysis.

We're not going to change that kind of view through logical argument.

I'd rather focus on the point that we ALL would like there to be fewer abortions. And, we CAN make progress by addressing difficulties women face when contemplating being fully responsible for healthy gestation and what follows (raising the child? adoption? Other??).

Canada covers abortion with their healthcare system and has no laws against it. Yet, they have fewer abortions. We should be able to work in this direction, too, and maybe we can get off this idea of making it all about laws against women.

I do believe there are positive elements in religion for those who actually believe there is a supernatural out there. Plus, they are signing on to a promise of direction and behavior. If Jesus were alive today, his message of earthly human direction would be substantially different that what we see today - and I think for the better.
