A federal appeals court this morning said the Trump administration's family planning rules can take effect nationwide while several lawsuits play out, delivering a major blow to Planned Parenthood and states challenging the overhaul.

The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals granted the Trump administration's request to lift national injunctions ordered by lower federal courts in Oregon and Washington state, as well as a statewide injunction in California.

Another Trump victory in the courts.

This will cut millions of dollars of tax payer money from groups like planned parenthood.

California is trying to fight it.

Is the 9th Circus actually turning into a legitimate court again? Trump is pretty awesome...

    He's appointing a lot of non-leftist judges.

Which means they don't legislate from the bench like dems do.

Trump's judges will have liberals whining for a generation or more. 2016 may turn out to have been one of the most important elections in modern history, for the bench anyway...

So? Let me get this straight:

The Trump administration advocates a dramatic increase in unwanted children being born to poor people?

Is that part of his plan to reduce entitlements?:roflol:

Exactly. We have a constitutional right to bear arms, does that mean the government needs to buy guns for poor people?

"Despite the nearly fifty-year history of Title X, they cannot point to one instance where Title X funds have been misapplied under past or current rules," wrote U.S. District Judge Michael McShane, an Obama appointee.

Diane Foley, a senior HHS official who oversees Title X, was unable to cite specific examples of program funds being improperly used for abortion during testimony before a House committee Wednesday, drawing rebukes from Democrats.

"You’re not proceeding based on facts," said Rep. Yvette Clarke (D-N.Y.) "You’re proceeding based on speculation."

Republicans: cut welfare, cut child programs, cut healthcare access, ban planning programs, ban abortion — increase warfare, increase debt, increase prison populations... what’s the worse that can happen right?

They already do, they couldn’t point to a single instance of misuse.

Then it's real simple. PP only offers abortions (just like now) and gets no government money. All the other services can be obtained at a hospital or clinic.

Or people could adopt the idea of contraceptives and a couple other types of way not to get pregnant including controlling those impulsive behaviors

If you use both the pill and a condom, your odds are slightly lower than immaculate conception.

Of course, that's not what abortion is about.

Abortion is about being as irresponsible as you want without consequences.

No,. they are just scared that they might get removed from the bench after being exposed that many of the judges on the 9th were legislating from the bench and were political operatives of the Democratic party.

PP offers those services at less expensive rates.

So no choice for the patient or the provider?

They were called out on not being able to identify any misuse of funds. But ok.

Can you document this? For example for a company that claims its about Womens Health why do they not do mammograms?

    And I can explain why.

PP charges for "services". An abortion might have 40 or 50 services given to a single customer.

The money is used for 39 or 49 of those services for the abortion, and abortion is as a separate service.

It's easy to understand how they get away with it if you look at how PP does their accounting.

Meanwhile, they offer very little actual services such as mammograms. In fact, many PP don't offer them at all.

PP screens for STDs, hands out condoms, and kills babies. That's all it does.

Yeah, because we're paying for it.

They're welcome to continue offering the same low price for abortions without government funding.

We are paying for the medical treatment. There has been no evidence of government funds going to fund abortions. Read the article
