I'll comment on any country's internal matters if it means standing up to innocent lives lost, here or any other country. USA isnt precious, only ridiculous in terms of gun control. You cant shut me down. Freedom of speech has no borders

Considering that most child gun deaths happen accidentally at home...why does an armed teacher make any sense at all?

You have no freedom of speech, you're a subject of the crown and you don't reside in the US. Besides, did I say you can't spew your gun banning talking points here? Go ahead and maybe I as an NRA member should start posting endlessly in Aussie boards pro gun talking points.

You only care about certain innocent lives just as Democrats claim to care so much about the lives of "innocent" illegals while they ignore the innocent American's who have been killed by them. You on the other hand along with your Aussie mates could care less about the lives saved by using a gun for self defense.

It's easy to point fingers, we don't have regular mass shootings.

Beside, having a concealed carry permit helped no criminal ever. Access is what matters. Given they already have access for anyone aged 18 plus without a felony conviction, I can't see how letting already armed teachers be armed in class can do harm.

If a teacher was considering a school shooting what's currently to stop them walking in WITHOUT a little piece of paper from the state? Nothing at all.

Future Teacher Training in US States on Amok Run Defense!

... and in future, as reaction, the amok doing scum does not come with a bunch of hand guns and AR-15, but with Daddy's full functional Sherman or other tanks in the front yard!

My point exactly. Had teachers there been armed, the response to the attack would have been far sooner. How many lives could have been saved that day by an armed teacher?

The fact that he used a revolver and a shotgun to carry out the attack speaks volumes about the ineffectiveness of the gun control demands being made by the left. The VT shooting was even more deadly and that guy had one 9mm handgun and two .22 pistols. There are some schools here in Tx that have armed teachers, and no ensuing blood bath occurred. By staff or otherwise.

And teachers aren't all built the same. Some run, some don't. Some are ex military, or ex law enforcement, or any number of other professions whose skill sets lend themselves to a familiarity and proficiency with firearms and/or emergency situations. Teachers also care a great deal about the kids, why else would they even be teachers? Certainly not for the pay. And it's not an easy job. So, having some teachers who are able to respond quickly and focus on stopping the threat would be a huge advantage, and far more achievable than what the left wants to do.

Numerous other states in the united states have allowed for the legal carrying of concealed firearms at facilities of learning, have done so for many years, and such events simply have not transpired. Pray tell why such is the case.

To interpret my post as saying as all schools have armed faculty is, at best, disingenuous. That school had two resource officers, and that wasn't enough. Are you.... disingenuous?

And ahhhhhh! Another NRA myth. After creating the idea of the “gun free zone” Wayne “just call me Liberace” LaPierre he has touted the myth that more mass shootings occur in gun free zones

    upload_2019-6-22_13-39-19.jpeg

By twisting the stats he has bolstered the myth

There has been a push to “liberalise” gun laws here and the NRA was caught on tape trying to influence our political parties.

The Darwin shooting we were bloody lucky he could not get his hands on a rapid fire weapon. Every mass shooting we have had since 1996 has either been in a rural location where guns are allowed or in the case of Darwin, bloody near rural.

    https://sydney.edu.au/news-opinion/news/2018/03/13/gun-laws-stopped-mass-shootings-in-australia.html

We have had exactly three mass shootings that fit the FBI definition since 1996

2 were family murder suicides and one was a public shooting. That is fewer than what happens in one month in the USA

I think you've forgotten, this forum is international. That makes it everyones business. Potentially 9 billion. You could debate locally say, your local newspaper if you dont like the cross examination/accountability
