A theory re: why leftists seem to be more prone to corruption.

I'm not a leftist, but I don't think that leftists are any more (or less) prone to corruption than anyone else. Corruption is part of human nature, and it is something that needs to be actively fought by all sides, and we should be unhappy with corruption on all sides. Personally, I get more angry at corruption in my own party (Republican) than I do with the other party. I have little respect for the other party, so I expect them to be corrupt. I expect my party to not be corrupt.

 

In the interest of accuracy, let’s be factual. There is no comparison.

The difference is that Dems protect their own. Republicans hate corruption more, so they prosecute their corrupt members.

If so, why are they defending Trump like they did with violent Gianforte, corrupt Arpaio, and Cheney who profited from Bush's wars?

And of course you can provide examples of where a Republican president actually shrunk government he says laughing.

 

The only reason this chart looks like it does is because Democratic officeholders refuse to indict fellow Democrats, while Republican officeholders have no problem indicting fellow Republicans. Democrats are forever whitewashing their own. Comey is a prime example. If Comey and Hillary had been Republicans, Hillary would be in jail now.

President Newt Gingrich didn't shrink the government, but he did balance the budget for several years in a row. We even had a surplus. Then Bush II came in and threw it all away, just as Bush I did with Reagan's booming economy.

Mueller had 17 people on his staff investigating Trump, 13 of them Democrats and four with no political affiliation. His Republican credentials consist only of having worked for Republican administrations. Democrats in Congress had no problem confirming him, indicating they didn't find him particularly political.

As for whether Barr is really Republican, let's see if he actually indicts any Democrats for the Russia dossier. Then maybe I'll believe it.

I couldn't give a **** about Trump. Impeach him and elevate Pence to the Oval Office for all I care. What I do care about is the incessant lie from Democrats that Democrats are more moral than Republicans when the truth is exactly the opposite. Democrats at the federal level don't go to jail as much when Democrats are in power than do when Republicans are in power because Democrats cover their associates' asses as well as their own. Why did it take Trump to go after Epstein and Weinstein? They had been committing their crimes for over a decade. It's because they were both major donors to Democratic officials, and the Democrats weren't going to cut off valuable sources of funds, even if they were major pedophiles. Why did no one in the Obama administration ever go to jail for the IRS scandal, Fast & Furious, the e-mail scandal, or any of the other numerous felony violations that occurred? Because no one in the Obama justice department believed in the rule of law, that's why. Democrats are not only much more corrupt and crooked than Republicans, they believe they are entitled to be so. Republicans at least look embarrassed when they are caught. Not so Democrats.
