Elizabeth Warren Wants Reparations For Same-Sex Couples

I think Warren missed the boat here, she should ask for reparations for HER people, Indians! Uh-oh... maybe that's next.

I don't know about the situation in California, but in the rest of the developed world, socialist capitalism works.

I got to hand it to her, in a primary race to give away the most free stuff, all of the easy things to give away are taken. So Warren dug deep to come up with a new give away scheme. I thought they had already hit bottom, but it looks like there is a lot more bottom left!

 

Reparations are being promised to everyone by the Democratic candidates.

I grew up in NYC and my family was the only Protestant family around. Everyone was either Catholic or Jewish. We suffered greatly. Is there a reparations program I qualify for?

Universal healthcare is not what it appears to be even for a few.

Medicare for all is a made up name for something that can never exist. Medicare requires 10 years of work to qualify. Sanders made up the name just like he makes up other crap that sounds good to a few.

Any of the socialist ideas that might sound good for a few will never happen.

 

Possibly your claims make some sense within the warped universe of American ideological delusion. However, I suggest you visit a number of countries such as Australia, and several in Scandinavia, and experience the efficiency and economic value of a centralised, tax payer funded healthcare system.
Consider for instance a phenomena you may be familiar with, bulk buying power. The billions saved here in Australia by a single public health system bargaining for say, 20 CAT scanners or bulk pharmaceuticals is significant. Add to that the millions of days not taken off work because those on a lower income can afford to visit a doctor and the significance of such a system should be obvious. And that’s before we take a microscope to the reasons a number of American citizens end up unemployable and on the street due to not being able to afford decent health care. As to the risk of unleashing socialism it’s time you lot in the US realised a scheme such as this is not going to send Stalin or Mao Tse Tung (Putin & Kim Jong Un?) bashing down your door in the middle of the night.
However, I suspect the blindness of randian (neo-conservative?) economics will allow you all to continue pretending you’re better off under your absurd system. You’re welcome to it. Oh, and by the way, we still have private medical insurance here for those who expect a hospital room to themselves and five star catering.

It's in the numbers. The population of Australia is 25 million. The population of California alone is 40 million legal and who knows how many illegals.

We can't spent trillions for everything the socialists here want. It's just not realistic for the USA. Almost anything the government does here the private sector can do better and for far less money.

There are about 1.4 trillion caveats to that statement. At best, the further the USA tries to do it the more like the former USSR we will be and you will see an economic collapse as we've seen in Venezuela. I don't want my daughter to have to forage through garbage looking for something to eat as the left trashes our economy. I don't want my son's murdered corpse to rot in an American killing field somewhere. Etc. We have Social Security in the USA. People depend upon it. It was created with the accusation that Americans will not save for themselves. Well, the Government spent it. It doesn't exist anymore. Now extend that to about 2/3 of all spending choices an American makes. No thank you.
