2020 Democrats have the same immigration policy, Open Borders

Exactly, the pols that conservatives elect only pay lip service to this issue. It is common knowledge that the elites (both left and right) want near unlimited immigration and so that's what we get. The views of common people are irrelevant on this issue as they are irrelevant on wars in the Middle East. People like you and I argue vociferously for what we want and then the elites get what they want. It kind of sucks but it has been this way forever.

 

Then why don't they want a wall? Why don't they want deportations. Give me a break! They want unlimited open immigration and you know it! Denying it doesn't make it true

I don't want a wall purely because it wouldn't work - not because I think every person who tries to cross the border should be allowed to stay. We have deporting millions of people from this country for the last 50 years - all without a wall. But a wall on THAT border is worthless. People will just turn to boats and tunnels. The coyotes who make millions bringing people in aren't going to look at a wall and say, "Well that it. Going to open a taco stand now ...".

No wall does not equal open borders except to feeble-minded folk.

Because every Democrat says they oppose open borders, but as I noted, they are also opposed to any border enforcement or any deportations.

Physical barriers work. So they try other ways and they are easier to catch. I don't understand folks that say they don't work. All these people have walls in their home.
