Interesting comment. Try looking at this with another perspective. We don’t need secession, we do need to honor the rights of states as guaranteed by our Constitution. Shifting federal power over States issues are one reason why we are so divided as a nation.

The Constitution does not provide power to the federal government for many things “we” have given it power to do. Things like welfare and education are examples of areas designed to be locally funded and controlled. So why don’t we start there? And when the federal control is legitimate, and States refuse to comply, then we should enforce tough penalties to those State officials that violate their oaths. Examples here are immigration and drug legality.

I would suggest the airlines offer discounts, no extra luggage fees, and free drinks to anyone who wants a one way ticket out of the US and the TSA look the other way while they are boarding.

Really well. Trump brought the Mexican gov't to the negotiation table and redid the trade deals that brought in billions more and paid for the wall. He also got the Mexican gov't to dedicate 15,000 troops to the US border to stem the tide of illegals crossing into our country.

trump and Mexico were more effective at protecting our borders, padding our treasury and stemming the tide of illegals than any and all Democrats in office.

It's the kind of story that leaves Democrats red faced and embarrassed.

If not eating our lunch, they (alongside India) have been working on trying to invest in more green energy, from solar panels to the vast majority of vehicles on the road being all-electric. The contrast couldn't be greater with the EPA now rolling back on coal emissions.

You might try taking that last comment to the Scandinavian countries that rank higher in terms of having happier citizens than the US. Norway included.

If you search you will find glowing praise of the job china is doing to reduce co2 emissions

And if you search long enough you will find the truth

No it's not. "Throughout the world". You mean "throughout a few wealthy countries".

Most of the people pouring across our border never made it past the 6th grade and have probably never been to a real doctor.

If many of the young progressives leave the US how will that be a problem for Republicans?

If the younger generation were to leave the elderly population — that hasn’t saved for retirement — would lose access to their social security benefits immediately, as the program is funded by current workers. Not to mention healthcare workers would largely evaporate.

Correct, I am not comparing the richest country on earth to the poorest.
I am comparing us to similar nations.

    That doesn’t negate my point

Record numbers have been leaving despite the governments imposed tax penalty for those who surrender their citizenship.

It does negate your point when you compare it to the entire world.

Also, the countries you tried to infer that have such a healthcare system have only worked until now because they all had the same first world culture.

As these countries have brought in millions of the third world, their healthcare and education systems are now failing.

The same way this country will fail with unchecked 3rd world migration.

You are comparing America to countries where whites are a much higher percentage of the overall population. Is your point that countries do worse as whites become a smaller percentage of the overall population? I wouldn't agree with your assessment because plenty of Asian countries are doing fantastic (Japan/South Korea/etc..). The better comparison is between ethnically homogeneous countries and heterogeneous countries and in 1st world nations it appears the edge goes to more homogeneous countries.

Did you really just create a strawman and argue against that strawman in the same paragraph? Wow, that’s impressive!

Homogeneous societies will always fare better in certain aspects just because many barriers have been lowered in terms of language and culture.

Honestly, I think it's still up for grabs. A lot of it depends on what you define as conservative and liberal. I don't think Gen Z lines up left and right like the Millenials. I think they have different agendas.

Yes, but in the rest of the world, you have to earn your right to be involved in post secondary education--you can't be a slacker throughout your school career and expect to be able to go to college in the rest of the world. In the U.S. pretty much anybody can go to community college, as long as they have a GED.

Hillary did have a 98% chance of beating Trump. That means Trump had a 2% chance of winning, which he did. Heck, the polls were right about Hillary. She won the popular vote by pretty close to the amount the polls predicted. However, the popular vote is only an artifact of the vote that matters.

Well I am confused then. You compared America to whiter countries and then said the whiter countries are doing better. Then in this post you say homogeneous societies are doing better. What exactly is your argument? I don't think I have ever heard a leftist openly say "homogeneous societies will always fare better". For many on the left such a statement is hate speech.
