Most likely, the rest of the Democrat candidates will follow suit. What a disgrace these people are.

Open borders means the end of the USA.

    Its no coincidence.

Headline doesn’t match article. You should fix your dishonest title.

What she proposed is not open borders. Something you’d know If you stopped wasting your time reading RW blogs.

Decriminalizing migration isn’t exactly the same as opening the borders. People coming to the US without papers could still be deported if they were caught and taken before an immigration judge. But it would make unauthorized immigration purely a civil offense, instead of a criminal one.

the object is to discourage illegal border crossing by making the consequence not worth the risk
Warren wants to encourage illegal border crossing by reducing the consequences there for Open Border is a fitting description

What would happen if we decriminalized murder, do you think murders would go up?

Face it, the left is for open borders. They may say they're not, but what have they done recently to secure them? And once the illegals are here, what does the left say when we want to catch and deport them?

Warrens plan has no effect on the ability to deport people here illegally.

So her point is merely symbolic but meaningless? Is she just spouting off nonsense to win over the hyper progressives knowing her point is meaningless? Does she think they're that stupid? She wants open borders.

So the cop would write the border crosser a ticket, and send him on his way?

Under that plan, an immigrant crossing into the US without papers — whether he was seeking asylum in the US or coming for some other reason — would not be committing a federal crime. If caught by Border Patrol agents, she’d be detained for a brief amount of time, but if she didn’t raise any red flags, she’d be released into the US (with a case management system to check up on her whereabouts) pending an immigration hearing. If she didn’t qualify for some form of legal status like asylum, she’d still ultimately be ordered deported from the US.

Since there is a lot of whining about how the refugees are being treated, maybe they should all be allowed in without any hassle. The flip side is that they would get zero government assistance on anything. No free schools, food, housing, transportation, medical care, path to citizenship, etc. When they walk across the border they will be completely on their own. If they don't have any resources, too bad. If they commit a felony they, and all members of their immediate family, get deported without any appeal provisions. All courts will be barred from hearing any cases involving their status. When the government determines that the crises in their home countries is over, they have to leave the US. Any children born to them while in the US do not become citizens. They get issued a refugee card, fingerprinted, photographed, and DNA identified. If they die, their body gets dumped at the nearest Central American embassy for transport out of the country. If its the wrong embassy, too bad.

That’s not what was first posted. It claimed open borders.

Way to many criminals among them. Border jumpers caught last year were from 52 different countries. They all need to be vetted and wait their turn. Then we send most of them back to where they came from. Politics and immigration lawyers are such that no logical solution is possible. Aid to their countries won't help either.
