Russia is not an enemy. It is a burr under the saddle. China is a serious enemy.

The more I think about it, the more this tunnel seem to be a fiction of someone’s imagination. Russian Topol-M is 85 feet long. Try to raise that in a tunnel and align the mobile launcher in such a way that it won’t hit the walls of the silo. Also, everyone who starts the missile will die, because everything that is coming out of the sopla of that ICBM goes straight into the tunnel, with all that heat and energy. If you think that the missile is to be mounted into a silo from underground than you really watch way too many cartoons.
I’m not even talking about the cost of digging 3000 mile tunnel that would meet all necessary specifications of being deep, reinforced and being wide. This project would employ hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people. There is no way it would stay secret.

I have been following Isreali politics since the early 70s. They want us to fight the big wars for them. They can do the little ones but when it gets to a country like Iran, they want us to do the dirty work. I have zero confidence in this administrations ability to get any sort of peace deal in the region. I do expect them to ask Bibi what he wants and then give it to him.

Firstly, I've never said that the Israel to which you are primarily loyal controls the US.
I've only accurately asserted that right wing Israeli lobbies dominate US Foreign Policy which is self evident in light of the fact that no other country has succeeded in extracting nearly as much in resources(1) from the US as Israel or remains America's greatest security threat(2) in spite of US largesse.

I don't know how you or anyone else can hold the delusion that our planet could remain inhabitable after "the greatest nuclear exchange imaginable" while having no idea of the magnitude of that exchange or any idea of its effect on earth's atmosphere.

EXCERPT” While it is commonly reported that Israel officially receives some $3 billion every year in the form of economic aid from the U.S. government, this figure is just the tip of the iceberg.”CONTINUED

“No other country close to the United States continues to cross the line on espionage like the Israelis do,” said a former congressional staffer who attended another classified briefing in late 2013,"CONTINUED

Because I've studied the effects of nuclear weapons for more than thirty years.

If more than 200 megatons of nuclear detonations won't make Novae Zemyla (a place the size of Maine) uninhabitable than 4,000 or 8,000 megatons of nuclear detonations won't make he Earth uninhabitable.

After repeatedly siding with Israel over the US, US interests & US G.I.s what else can one conclude?

200 megatons of nuclear detonations on Novae Zemyla does not allow for the subsequent global forest fires, depletion of the ozone, tsunamis, years of black/acid rain, disruption of the earth's crust and other unforeseen cataclysmic variables that would occur from "... the greatest nuclear exchange imaginable..."

It could do if it was done properly. That would be not encouraging Israel to go against International law, the US not believing it is God and can say whichever land they want belongs to Israel and the US does not go about destroying the ME causing the largest amount of terrorists the world has ever known who commit their terrorism throughout the world as well as millions dead and tens of millions refugees. Certainly if the US had acted as an honest broker and continued the work for a two state solution, then indeed not just Israel but the whole world would be in a safer place. Unfortunately it went against US Christian Zionists plans for the region and that is certainly putting the world at risk while they gleefully wait for Armageddon.

It is not what US does. The US is acting as a friend of Israel, and not as just a broker. Palestinians have their own friends who act on their behalf and not in the interests of Israel... don't they?

If so many nuclear weapons are being fired into the ocean that it causes tsunamis worth noting then its a good thing for the world.

Ozone depletion means at worst elevated skin cancer rates. Not the end of the world.

"years of black/acid rain"? The only place you would get that from is a science fiction program.

No idea what you mean by "disruption of the Earth's crust".

I believe U.S. interests lie with supporting Israel. The only democracy in the region. As for "U.S. G.I.s" there is nothing sacred about blindly supporting their views or accounts (such as in the case of the U.S.S. Liberty).

Thank you for the attempted consolation but isn't nuclear armed Israel the only state in the world to openly declare a "Sampson Option" that would include the US & Europe?

    "ISRAELI NUCLEAR THREATS AND BLACKMAIL"

"The Samson Option Still Threatens the World"

    http://carolmoore.net/nuclearwar/israelithreats.html

EXCERPT "Originally a strategy of last resort retaliation - even if it means Israel’s annihilation - it has developed into being a nuclear bullying strategy to further Israel’s territorial goals through threats and blackmail.

Israel has bullied not only Arab and Muslim nations, but the United States and Russia with its Samson Option threats. Mordechai Vanunu has alleged that Israel uses for purposes of blackmail its ability to "bombard any city all over the world, and not only those in Europe but also those in the United States."CONTINUED

A nuclear free Mid-East would make for a safer world.

Perhaps but that is never going to happen for obvious reasons.

And Israel has never actually declared it has anything like a "Sampson Option". IIRC a FORMER IDF general suggested it but that in no way means it is an official policy or would ever be implemented.

And why? Because both are powerfull enough to show you the middle finger about your will and so not being forced to surrender to your will?

Interesting news ... the the US is an absolutist monarchy on this planet who dictates the rules where all others have to follow ....
And intersting too that many Americans obviously believe this bullcrap and ignore the fact they are not!

Of course, there are more or fewer casualties, depending on where a nuclear warhead explodes .... in "Butt of the World Gulch" it is something else as in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago or New York.
There are the immediate victims of death, there are those who die in the next few weeks, which die in the next few months or years as a result. There is the radioactive contamination which makes whole areas impassable and there is the immediate destruction of the infrastructure.
And you have to say the entire radioactive cloud or clouds, they also paralyze a country!
I would say that with 50 atomic explosions in US cities quasi the Anarchy breaks out!

Link from an Israeli government or military site with copies of official documents laying out such a policy or it doesn't exist. Case closed.
