Seems once again, this ridiculous administration is going to be caught fibbing (I.E. lying) to the SCOTUS... I heard about this, but didn't read it until today. Letter from the Solicitor General to the SCOTUS, dated last Tuesday (6/25)

    SNIP
As the government has repeatedly explained, "the Census Bureau needs to finalize the 2020 questionnaire by June of this year," Pet. App. 1 2a, and "changes to the paper questionnaire after June of 2019 * * * would impair the Census Bureau's ability to timely administer the 2020 census,"
    ENDSNIP

    https://www.supremecourt.gov/Docket...2614_DEPT OF COMMERCE ET AL 18-966 LETTER.pdf

So, per the Trump MalAdministration, tomorrow is the deadline...... until they decide it isn't anymore...

What a corrupt bunch of lying idiots...

The Constitution is the highest law in the land

When the inelected judges used the constitution to legalize abortion that was new law that they just made up

That would be a pretty tall order

But as more and more people lose respect for the court it could happen someday

    Correct.

Again, no. It was applying the constitution by striking down an unconstitutional law.

    No

The Constitution said noting about abortion till the nudges discovered it for us

It was all based on the personal opinion of 7 unelected demigods who serve for life

Its based on the personal opinion of the judges about what they think the constitution means

Nope. It’s based on what the constitution says.

Sorry but I’m not buying that when different judges see it different ways

I don’t care what you buy. The ruling was based on the constitution. States do not have the authority to ban a woman from having an abortion. Sorry.

    No

The ruling was an off te cuff opinion of 7 people who happen to be judges

    Its nothing more than that

    A matter of opinion

It was based on the plain wording of the constitution.

    No, it’s constitutional law.

RvW was decided on the bases of the due process clause of the 14th amendment.

And, the members of the SC are justices, not judges.

Did you feel that same way when five justices ruled - I mean, opined - in favor of Bush in Bush v Gore?

Every time the supreme court makes a decision that I disagree with, they are wrong.

Does anybody else here have that problem?

Most of them are highly educated and highly intelligent, with long track records. Even those I don't agree with.

Which is why you don't bother to actually read and understand their decisions.

It's called the United States Constitution. You don't like it?
