Trump's proclamation that meeting with North Korea's dictator was, "A great honor," made rational observers reach for their vomit bags. Love letters? Big invite the the White House? No wonder Kim loves Trump, he's a dictator's dream come true. Trump gave Kim what three generations of NK dictators could only dream of, world recognition on equal footing with the United States.

Trump is a transactional, short term thinker that believes if you lavishly praise on an evil thug he will love you. In other words, Trump projects himself onto the motivations of others. So, after all the love letters and lavish photo ops, what has the United States gained? Nothing. There won't be anything in the future either. Kim has what he wants. Sanctions? They may starve North Koreans, but Kim is eating and drinking well. Besides, gods don't need earthly sustenance. Especially when the god has China.

Once again, the lure of immediate recognition and adulation has played Trump like a tin kazoo. The probable outcome of Trump's slow dance with Kim is hard to predict, other than it will probably be nothing or not good.

 

It's called Diplomacy. The country isn't a complete mess, Democrats are. Whining, crying, stomping their feet, marching like Nazi's, burning campuses, destroying private businesses and property, shutting down free speech and assaulting those that take up arms for their cause. If Democrats would take some pride and start working to fix issues in this country, instead of trying to remove the POTUS, everyone would be better off.

Instead, they embrace the same tactics that fascists embrace. Return to the middle and back to sanity, otherwise things will get a whole lot worse.
