Christian fast food chain Chick-fil-A may be open 52 days a year less than the competition, but it’s still managed to become the third largest restaurant chain in the United States, according to new numbers released by Nation’s Restaurant News (NRN).

NRN’s analysis finds Chick-fil-A rising to third place from seventh place the year before, Fox Business reports, with its $38.52 billion in total sales placing it just behind McDonald’s and Starbucks. The chain has over 2,400 locations in 47 states and enjoyed double-digit sales growth for the fifth year in a row.

    end snip

Despite the calls from the left to boycott the restaurant, it seems that consumers know good food and good service when they get it. It's great to see that a business with good Christian values can thrive and employ thousands of people.

"Many of the company's values are influenced by the religious beliefs of its late founder, S. Truett Cathy, a devout Southern Baptist. All Chick-fil-A restaurants are closed for business on Sundays, as well as on Thanksgiving and Christmas."

I can't help but get the idea that you think a person has to believe in god before he's capable of living life the way others consider to be the path of a christian.

Tens of thousands of businesses are closed on Sundays & holidays. It doesn't in any way make them "Christian." Just typical nonsense seen daily on here. Geez...

BTW, I feel bad for any non-essential business that's open on Thanksgiving & Christmas. Both for employer that exhibits such unbridled greed, and for the employees that realize they're working for a horse's ass. Sad, really. :(

Tell it to the alphabet people boycotting the restaurants because the owners are not sufficiently enthusiastic about the gay agenda.

It seems Chick Fil A is more Christian than the so called Christian conservatives that support Trump.

Best food and best customer service of any restaurant chain... for starters.

You're free to eat at your local Taco Bell I guess.

I ate at the Chick on the day that homosexuals tried to drive it out of business

The place was packed to the ceiling all day long

The biggest and busiest day in company history

My town got a Chik-fil-A a few years ago. The place is consistently kept clean, the food's pretty good by fast-food standards, and by those same standards they've got maybe the best customer service I've seen in the High Desert. This is as opposed to the Popeye's that's much closer to me that always has flies. Yeech!

In'-n-Out is always gonna be the fast food restaurant of choice in California - it's practically a religion here - but I haveta admit, Chik-fil-A's stock is rising here.

On a cold, wintry day you might like their large bowl of chicken noodle soup! It is truly excellent! :knifefork:

Yup. Only homemade Minnesota Indian harvested, wild rice chicken noodle soup can top it.

Let the libs go feed their faces somewhere else!

It's worth noting that Chick-fil-A does not (NOT) accept "EBT cards" (SNAP, or "food stamp" welfare payment cards). So, predictably, the rest of us can eat there and not have to be around a bunch of welfare-sucking liberals anyway!

Link: https://foodstampsnow.com/fast-food-restaurants-that-accept-ebt-food-stamps/ . Scroll to the bottom to see --

"Restaurants that DON’T take EBT Food Stamps
Here is the list fast-food restaurants that do not accept EBT, even in states that are participating in the Restaurant Meals Program:

    A&W Restaurants
    Arby’s
    Chick-fil-A
    Chipotle
    Cinnabon
    Dairy Queen
    Dunkin’ Donuts
    Einstein Bros. Bagels
    Five Guys
    Hardee’s
    In-N-Out Burger
    Krispy Kreme
    Long John Silver’s
    McDonald’s
    Panda Express
    Panera Bread
    Qdoba Mexican Grill
    Shake Shack
    Starbucks
    TCBY
    Tim Hortons
    Whataburger
    Wingstop
    WingStreet
    Zaxby’s
    "

I know where I'm going to be spending my money....

...DOES NOT Accept EBT, Just like Chick-fil-A?

    Wow

What a UNIQUE (groundbreaking) position that they have adopted!:bored:

I love Chic-fil-A. The chicken sandwiches are great but the Asian salad is to die for! They don't have one here, but they did in my previous location. Maybe I'll move back. They don't have Denny's either f****n neanderthals.

You've got to be kidding ---- there are fast food restaurants which do take food stamps? Holy hell. I had no idea. Add that to the list of things which needs to be reformed regarding welfare.

I have only gone to one two times and food was very good for fast food. Personally, I do not give a damn about the religion or politics of the owner, manager or the help. If they have risen to 3rd in that highly competitive market, they must have great management and thus a great business model. Good for them.
