    The average age of cars and trucks operating today on Americas roads and highways has hit an all time high of 11.8 years.This is in a way a testament to better quality vehicles that hold up better being manufactured today.A fortunate thing, as the average prices have also escalated dramatically in recent years.

    About right. The average age of our four vehicles is 12 years. From a 1995 Miata to a 2016 Subaru Outback.

    Salt was once fatal to cars in the rust belt. Manufacturers have come a long way in improving sheet metal protection.
