I'm always skeptical of that kind of messages. I'm in a country with a high civil war risk (France), but people have to be very cautious with self-fulfilling prophecies.

Most leftists are not very dangerous, they're very agressive on the internet but they're not very brave and most of them are to weak to actually fight a war.

However, I doubt that the west can avoid a major collapse of its society for many reasons (demographic, resources, economic, political).

Um.... isn't that the motto of the social media giants? We have the POWER so we get to de-platform all ideas that we disagree with... and it does not matter that half the nation disagrees with us. And yes, the suppression of speech is violence. The left wing elites are extreme and because they have ACTUAL POWER, their actions are far more onerous than hypothetical actions of the right in the future.

The point is that nothing will push America to violence faster than the suppression of views supported by 40+% of the nation and 60+% of the white people in the nation. Each year that passes, the views of white people matter less and less, that is why we are talking about slave reparations, cultural appropriation, replacing our constitutional republic with mob rule, stripping guns from the citizenry, forced integration, open borders and socialism.... ideas with massive minority support but very little support in the white community. All the garbage tier ideas that our forefathers/ancestors rejected are being forced on us by recent immigrants from failed civilizations aided by millions of whites who have been taught to hate themselves by a media controlled by corrupt elites and a public education system controlled by corrupt academics.

I did not and am not advocating for offensive violence, nor do I see it as likely that a civil war would begin with civilians initiating violence. What is likely is a group or groups would attempt secession and state or federal agents would escalate to violence as they tend to do, and the public reaction would be more secession.

Why is it always the presumption that civil war would start by civilians declaring war on other civilians? When has that ever happened?

We are ALL "Civilians" and we are all non-civilians. We are PEOPLE and American people at that. This idea that we're all champing at the bit to murder each other may apply to SOME of us, (it always does) but they are VERY fortunately a TINY minority.

A lot too much is made of the fact that America was born in a war. The major reason for that war was is that the colonists felt that the Home Islands were not giving them the redress for grievances that was the main right they had as Englishmen and that they needed to make up a government that did. In that they were wildly successful and have continued to be so for going on 250 years, why do you want to throw that all away?

 

Well actually I think it's fairly obvious that Trump wouldn't mind being one at all. He likes going on about being President-For-Life and he does have this disconcerting affection for the worst tyrants on the globe, but I don't think he's really that serious about it (at least I hope not) His followers now, that's another purge entirely

I think all humans are capable of being violent. And I think political systems that become overly centralized almost always descend into war. It's positively historical. Empires rise and fall. The US is no different. If we were smart, we'd simply peacefully dissolve this farce of a union and allow the States to return to their original configuration as a confederation. But we're not smart, so conflict seems inevitable.
