Are you getting fed up of climate change? Not sure if many programmes on TV here in the UK escape it.

Keeping in mind, it is just a natural cycle.

    CLIMATE CHANGES

    Just Like The Weather

Yes it is a natural cycle.

    Support HIStory,
    Not HERstory.
The Dark Ages ended with the Medieval Climate Optimum
That came to an end with The Little Ice Age.
We have written accounts from those times, conveniently ignored.
    And those events effected history.

It means that it is more at risk from the effects of climate change and rising seas levels.

Then again, how much of that land is man made extensions of
    ole New Amsterdam.
    That's the ticket,

    Consult the Dutch.

In the days of Dutch greatness, a municipality and nation that could prosper
with various Protestants, 2 kinds of Jews who looked at the other as "gentile",
Catholic, with nations around them fighting those sorts of wars -
    The Only Government Official
who could force you out of your home was
The Dike Master. At times of flood emergency.

The Articles of Confederation were patterned after the Dutch,
but :flagus:s were not as cooperative with one another so it failed here.

I like the story of when they were under Spanish dominion.
Madrid would decide to export the Inquisition to Holland.
The Dutch confounded the King's appointed inquisitors with paper work.
As if: Do you have an inquisitions license?
Well you must have one, go apply over there.
You want an inquisitor's license? You have no local address on file., etc. etc.
And thus the Inquisition was thwarted in the Netherlands.

Keeping in mind we are ****ing up the planet

What I am sick and tired of is the ignorant nay sayers who do not have a clue about the science, have never read one science article and who believe the likes of Bill Oreilly

I couldn't really vote, given the way the question was asked, and the choices were, for me, not reflective of my opinion.

Here's what I mean -- yes, we are observing fluctuations in the Earth's climate. There have ALWAYS been fluctuations in the Earth's climate... history shows this clearly. But whether or not I am "fed up" actual climate change, per se, is irrelevant.

I AM fed up with liberal Democrat propaganda-spinners trying to use climate change as leverage to gain further control over the entire population, and to jack-up taxes for them to spend on their ridiculous, half-assed theories.

Example: the dreaded Carbon Dioxide makes up approximately 0.04% of the Earth's atmosphere, but the hyperlibs run around in circles with their hair on fire, loudly proclaiming that we AMERICANS must tax the living hell out of ourselves to retaliate against Carbon Dioxide. Absolutely, idiotically, unredeemably STOOPID! But, because we Americans have been so brutally dumbed-down for the past thirty years, it's easy to make us believe nearly anything.

It is THAT which I'm sick of... not 'climate changes' themselves.... Actually, for about the past year, here in the State of Colorado, our climate has been quite a bit more like the normal we enjoyed before 19 years of drought. It's very nice now....

Apologies, I didn't make it clear. No matter where we turn, mainly the TV, we're just bombarded with climate change. Even the adverts are jumping on the band wagon. It's so in ya face 24/7, are you not fed up with it?

No, it's not and you Brits started it with the "industrial revolution".
Not to mention we have quadruple the population on planet Earth now with 10 times the "consumption" of natural resources compared to the average 18c Joe.

Climate, like your underwear does not change by itself (and every time I type that I am hoping it is not new information)

The atmosphere of this planet is massive so to change it there has to be some sort of impetus underpinning that change

    If not CO2 then what?

The contribution of land subsidence to the increasing coastal flooding hazard in Miami Beach

    http://www.ces.fau.edu/arctic-florida/pdfs/fiaschi-wdowinski.pdf

Preliminary InSAR results detected localized subsidence, up to -3 mm/yr, mainly in reclaimed land located along the western side of Miami Beach. • Although the detected subsidence veloci?es are quite low, their effect on the flooding hazard is significant, because houses originally built on higher ground have subsided since the city was built, about 80 years ago, by 16-24 cm down to flooding hazard zones. • The combined effect of subsidence and SLR further expose the subsiding areas to higher flooding hazard than the rest of the city

Natural Cycle or manmade problem it IS happening and we see it get more intense every year. I really do not care what is driving it and will be dead before it gets really bad so....whatever, we cannot change it anyway. Fortunately I live in an area least likely to feel adverse effects while I'm alive....maybe a bit of flooding from the Ohio. Our winters have already become a colder spring and I do not miss the snow.

Go push your 'truth' in China and India! They're the ones with the enormous atmosphere pollution problems! Tell them they need to tax themselves into an impoverished oblivion... and see how far you get with that!

You almost certainly don't remember the 1970's when the U. S. actually did have recurring, awful pollution problems in many different parts of the country. On winter days in Denver, the smog was so bad you couldn't see two city blocks in the downtown area... but all that has CHANGED. There are very few cities with any real pollution problems now besides L.A., Phoenix, and occasionally, a few others.

But according to half-baked, hysterical liberal 'scientists' (and the agenda-driven Democrat politicians who fund them), all we have to do is shut down every method we have for creating 60% - 70% of our energy in the United States and tax the living hell out of ourselves to give these Democrats more money to play with, and then everything will be just FINE!

Your big 'angst', Bowerbird, is overseas! Why don't you collect a dozen or so of your fellow radical 'scientists' and go to where the pollution problems actually EXIST in 2019! Start with mankind trashing the OCEANS with cubic-miles of garbage!

Oh, but back on air pollution, here's some new, interesting reading material for your trip -- Link: https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019...man-made-climate-change-doesnt-exist-practice

"A new scientific study could bust wide open deeply flawed fundamental assumptions underlying controversial climate legislation and initiatives such as the Green New Deal, namely, the degree to which 'climate change' is driven by natural phenomena vs. man-made issues measured as carbon footprint. Scientists in Finland found "practically no anthropogenic [man-made] climate change" after a series of studies.

“During the last hundred years the temperature increased about 0.1°C because of carbon dioxide. The human contribution was about 0.01°C”, the Finnish researchers bluntly state in one among a series of papers.
    "

IMO, people who still think its a natural cycle are just simply to misinformed at best, and stupid at worst to have a rational conversation with about the topic.

Those that buy into the false dogma are the worst of the science deniers. Now every weather event is climate change. One would think the continued failure of predictions would give some of them a clue but this is about feelings and not science. One would think that when they learn the alarmist predictions are based on the least likely computer model RCP8.5 they would at least have some curiosity to look into it for themselves but instead they just buy the media propaganda.
