I graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with an engineering degree and have been fully employed in the tech industry for over 30 years and I voted for Trump.

    You were saying?

I said, “If they are white and undereducated they statistically already support trump so I don’t see how this is news?”

Your irrelevant statement has zero to do with my statement.

Should I repeat it again? I would add sources but since you are fully employed with the tech industry for 30 years you should know how to do a simple search by now.

In case you didn't notice, we reject your false premise the uneducated are Trumps base, when in actuality the uneducated are your party's base.

I don’t care that you reject truth, that’s self evident.

    1) I do not have a direct party, I do not support the duopoly
    2) Whites voted for trump 88% to 60% for Clinton. Those without a college degree voted for trump 71% to Clinton’s 57%.
    3) College graduates accounted for almost double of Clinton’s base than trump’s.

Whites without a college degree were trumps largest base — as a population percentage — next to evangelicals. It’s all data that can be found online, I’m sure even Fox News has it buried somewhere.

If you will follow the thread (it’s easy to do, find the little up arrow and click it a few times — tech industry you say?) I was responding to @US Conservative’s post that “likely general-election voters who are white and have two years or less of college education” support the democrat part at around 22% and that AOC is the cause behind it. My response was that this information mirrors the data from the last several elections and thus, isn’t news.

Then I have some of our highly intelligent 30 year tech industry veterans come in and disclose their educational attainment as if it is relevant to anything I have stated.

Why are y’all so defensive? I never stated that all of trumps base was uneducated, just that the uneducated or undereducated typically support conservative ideals over liberal ones.

One can argue that the only thing that matters is how her district feels about AOC, which (last time I checked), is still positive.

    You should check again.

They are livid that AOC put the kibosh on the Amazon deal.

One could argue that, if one wanted to miss the entire point of the poll. But when a disliked person "defines" a party, that has greater implications outside a single district. AOC may well get re-elected by her district...while causing other Dems to lose their seats.

Do you have anything recent that shows her relative favorability? The most recent one I've seen was from April, and she had a positive favorability.

I would say that it wouldn't matter what AOC does because other Democrats are going to keep doing what they're doing.

The poll, however, reveals a different problem. Her favorability makes it difficult for AOC to push and adopt meaningful legislation in the future. If her colleagues in other districts and states don't like her, they're not going to work with her.

Yeah, my link was from June 17. I'd say that's a bit more recent than April.

    I see. Thank you.

    I missed the hyperlink.

Looking at the poll, I have a few issues with it; the first issue is that the poll was conducted by the Stop the AOC Political Action Committee, which may lead to unfavorable bias when it comes to sampling and framing the questions. If their statistical methodology is sound, that shouldn't matter; however, that is something that more partisan individuals would use to dismiss this poll outright.

Secondly, I don't like the framing of these questions, especially question #4: "Will you pledge to OPPSE AOC in our next election?" Shouldn't the question be, "If the election were held today, would you vote to re-elect AOC?" That is such a leading question that it provides the perception that the pollsters are looking to frame AOC in the worst possible light.

Can't help but I somehow like AOC. I could whine myself all her initiative, charisma, thirstyness to do things and get things done was turned to the dark side by this rotten leftist atmosphere on many academic circles.
But on the other hand, maybe she was wrong from birth on and I am just blinded because she is hot.

What's interesting about this poll is it showed that Repubs are more familiar with her than Dems are.

This and so many other threads and stories bear out their bizarre obsession.

What's also interesting about polls is that a negative one in regard to a Dem gets a thread and interest from Repubs but all the ones that show negatively towards Trump get ignored.

To our everlasting amusement, you made a similar guarantee when Hillary Clinton was running for office in 2016.

Good thing AOC can go back to slingin' booze for a living...
