A racist is one who believes that his own race is superior to others, or that other races are inferior to his own.

Ya but how does one know what a person thinks or mutter within their digital lair? The only thing that holds the liberal back here is the fear of loosing their very important post counts and unique and self gratifying avatar name ;)

Might we talk about your twenty times a day denigration of the "ORANGE MAN". Remember, hypocrisy is not a friend of the leftist ;)

That worked for a very long time.Until the Democrat Party found a way
of using Projection { a tactic of accusing others of what YOU are truly
guilty of }. Is Al Sharpton a Racist.? He claims to be some sort of civil
rights leader.Has he EVER { even onced } defended the civil rights of a White.
If not then he's The Very definition of a Racist.
    It's cut & dry.

    IMO
Being racist is HATING other races.
    That's it, nothing else.
You can not like other races or be annoyed by other races and still not be racist.
People like this will still call 911 if they see an injured person of another race.
Real racists will let them die in the side of the road.
Ignorance and intolerance is NOT the same as RACISM

I have an old copy from the 1950's of the local paper's editorial on how important it is for local school funding to go out and vote the next day AND PAY YOUR POLL TAX as it was a big part of local school funding. AND that if you could not pay you can sign a form to be exempted. This in a major Southern city.
Yet "poll tax" is now synonymous with "racist".

That definition is incomplete.A Bigot could be called a racist in that
interpretation.A Racist is one who discriminates or Hates based on Race.
A Bigot hates or discriminates on the basis of personal opinion.
Which could include Gender and Faith and even choice of food.
I Hate seafood therefore I hate Marina's or Sea Cruises.

That does not follow.A Real Racist knows what they are.Just like a
bigot.Because it's practiced.Harry Belafonte was a Racist actor because he
truly personified someone who distained whitey.Belafonte actually
believed he was superior to Whites.
He did a movie with John Travolta titled :
    - White Man's Burden - { 1995 }
I saw it a couple times but the movie got shelved. It is out of print
and never shown on Movie Channels.

I think in most cases a Racist is someone who more often then not
does not go around applying their Racism. They talk it up and maybe
cause trouble for the opposite race, but don't act on their racism.
Whereas the KKK did exactly that.
The book { Pulitzer Prize for non-fiction } : by Gilbert King
    - Devil in the Grove - { 2012 }
is a great example of how Racism existed in the 50's and 60's.
Beginning in the 40's.And how it was almost mainstream in the South.

Racism is a very tricky aspect of human nature to diagnose.
It used to be Very obvious and out in the open.Almost impossible to
not recognize.Again a couple great movies in this regard are
    - The Intruder - { 1962 } starring William Shatner and Directed by
    Roger Corman.
    - Black Like Me - { 1964 } True story of John Griffin's experiences
as he took treatments to darken his skin so as know firsthand how it
felt to be a black man in the South..Starring James Whitmore.

Do you have examples where someone on the Left accused another person of being racist SIMPLY because that person disagreed with them?

So, if I were to look at the demographics of a region, and I see that 90% of whites are literate. and 90% of blacks are illiterate. And I determine that I can craft a law that limits voting based on literacy that applies to both races, but will mainly only have a negative impact on one.

    Is that racist?

I would suggest that yes, it absolutely is.

The left uses cultural-marxism all of the time changing the meaning and definition of words to further a radical leftist agenda.

Exactly when did the word ":racist" became part of the English language ?

The word "racist" didn't even exist during the first half of the 19th Century. -> http://webstersdictionary1828.com/

    Even the word "race"...

If you believe race accounts for differences in human character and ability, you are a racist.

If public policy reflects that belief it is racist.

Normally that general belief underlies the opposition to and understanding of the corrective public policy measures attempted in this country.

Unfortunately, our lack of candor and subsequent dancing around the issue interferes with our attempts to rectify our race issue.
