Are the other single moms living with the father of one of their daughters. (in other words, are they living in sin).

When your Whitehouse has such a great examples of “Christian values” it makes this sort of thing a bit harder to defend

Why would that be "living in sin." Don't you rather have a father involved in his daughter's life? Besides, supposedly they knew this and still took her money. What's up with that??

Trump kids would never be allowed to go to that school if that is their standards

course the God many Christians worship is really the God of money "In God we Trust" I think, so maybe not

You would have to consort the school, I have no idea what rules they put on such things.

However, it is highly unlikely that minor children, enrolled and accepted scholarships without the parents consent. Pretty sure that would be illegal.

Go tell the parents of the students there. They're the only ones that can do anything about it. Private school, private rules.

Theres plenty of good private schools out there. Its unfortunate that a few of them would do stuff like this, but its also innevitable.

I would prefer to not have trans sex taught to my kids, and I'm sure many folks think I'm horrible for that, just like I think its horrible that many folks wont let their kids be taught gun safety.

We have to be able to have a say in how our kids are raised, and OP is an innevitable part of that result.

The free market innevitably will cater to things we disagree with, because we're individuals with different values. And thats OK.

This feels to me like an all too common private/religious school practice I have seen in person where they’ll overlook their rules and principles as long as the money is coming in and the kids are keeping their heads down but will apply a strict interpretation the moment there is any perceived disruption, controversy or threat to their league table position. It’s one of the key tools they use to try to stay ahead of the mainstream state schools, who aren’t permitted to apply such uncompromising and discriminatory rules, even if they wanted to.

    Very interesting you say this.
So are you saying that this is an example of why the public doesn't trust or respect Christians and the institution of church like they used too? And are you saying that this is a common sense thing? Like it could have been handled way different but the way they think isn't as smart as the folks who aren't even involved in the church? The reason I ask this is because I didn't think of these things you shared before. And if so that's a lot to take in. Because it used to be that we all looked to the leaders n the church organizations for wisdom.

The popes through the decades have concealed/covered for the child molesters that existed within their ranks. Priests molested children. They are but mere mortals, so why should we be looking to them for.....wisdoms??

There are clearly aspects of "The Church" worthy of respect and even admiration....judging and punishing people (especially children) because you do not like the personal life that you have no business in anyway is not amongst them, especially when the sexual deviancy of the church is considered.

Well I see the rampant hypocrisy as the main issue

I understand. Now a lot of folks in the church would say that you can't come to church and judge other folks. And to just do your best and everything will take care of itself. Don't judge the leaders because then you're wrong.

it's all about perception... what some consider a 'good' parent, others perceive as 'coddling'...

Not that I agree or disagree. But please explain in detail why hypocrisy is such a main ingredient for you. A lot of readers won't understand.

It seems there's a lot of confusion. It seems the public feels the leaders can't be doing the same things that the sinners do. They want church leaders to have higher standards. Not be perfect but not be on the same level. I guess it's like a supervisor needs to be better than the employees. They can't be late and model bad behavior and manage folks and be someone to go to for information.
