Pretty much what you want out of a tax based system

You say, try reading what it covers.

As far as what we call welfare goes, it's the gross public that matters. I'm sure they managed to put everything you can think of into that one, like Social Security, Medicare, Veterans Benefits, Medicaid, TANF, SNAP and all those small programs.

That amount isn't that much compared to other industrialized countries, in fact, it's on the low side.

Odd you think I WANT a tax based system. No one actually WANTS a tax based system. Honestly, the ONLY thing I like about tax based system is how much it bothers people like you.

So you are asking if I would pay for medication so you could kill yourself? Like poison or something?

Here's the deal: You have zero responsibility for me, and I have zero expectation to get anything from you. You certainly don't owe me anything. I am not entitled to your possessions.

Do you feel that you are entitled to my possessions?

Repeating the same nonsense in the face of evidence, is foolish. I can see your only interest is in dishonesty.

We all knew this was coming. Lets see first we get rid of Obamacare's preexisting condition ban so that corporations can coerce unhappy employees with their own health care coverage. Then we cut away at bankruptcy protection for people who need to get out from under years of debt. Then we chop away at union rights and undermine efforts to increase the minimum wage. Next we tear apart at the fabric of the social safety net including social security, Medicaid, Medicare, SNAP, unemployment protection etc . Finally we butcher any semblence of progressivity in the tax system. Republicans want a Dickensonian America full of weak vulnerable impoverished workers because that is what corporations demand.

Well, actually we want a society of individuals who are responsible for themselves and their children. Darn shame that half the country can't take care of themselves. Pitiful really.

You didn’t cite anything that contradicted what I said. Non citizens do not qualify for or receive welfare.

    Even read your own link?

Are undocumented immigrants eligible for federal public benefit programs?
Generally no. Undocumented immigrants, including DACA holders, are ineligible to receive most federal public benefits, including means-tested benefits such as Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, sometimes referred to as food stamps), regular Medicaid, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF). Undocumented immigrants are ineligible for health care subsidies under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and are prohibited from purchasing unsubsidized health coverage on ACA exchanges.

Undocumented immigrants may be eligible for a handful of benefits that are deemed necessary to protect life or guarantee safety in dire situations, such as emergency Medicaid, access to treatment in hospital emergency rooms, or access to healthcare and nutrition programs under the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC).

Word has it, Congress might double the amount it's not paying for welfare to get more illegals to not vote.
