One of the problems with the Palestinian Arabs is their inability to see
they themselves have been defeated in their exterminate-the-Jews
wars of 1948, 1967 and 1973. This is why Hamas can keep on fighting
even though Israel has F35's, satellites and nuclear weapons.

And until the human soul chooses reason over faith, religious tyranny will thrive, be it Christianity Islam Hindu, or whatever theology.

Furthermore, if humanity wishes to continue to live happily and prosperously, then the human being would be wise to embrace its ego and reject its God--there be more wealth, greater health, and much less ill will.

We did all that in the 20th Century. By WWI the role of Monarchy and Church was significantly
limited. Stalin trained to be an Orthodox Priest; Mao Tse Tung was a Buddhist. Hitler had a
    Catholic upbringing.
But no more religion! No more monarchs. The world was secular, and dictators in many countries
    had replaced their royal families.
As a result, about 85-90% of all the human induced misery of that century was the result of secular
causes, most notably Fascism, Communism, Nationalism and Racism. There was no separation of
powers and no restraint - the last king had been strangled with the entrails of the last priest.

Palestine's native Muslims learned all they needed to know about the Zionists' genocidal agenda (Plan Dalet) when they were without weapons at Deir Yassin.

Not until they learn to love their children more than they hate Israel.

The problem isn't secularism, its faith, not in God, but in the State as God.

    You mention Deir Yassin.
Yes, Israel apologized for this to the government, ie Jordan. I personally wouldn't -
Yassin was where fighters, shooting from their own homes (sound familiar?) and at
night, sought to hold off the Israelis intent on getting supplies through to the starving
Jews (sound familiar?) at Jerusalem. Israel Government policy wasn't to occupy
Yassin nor kill in civilian inhabitants.
Arab policy was to occupy Jewish land (purchased or given by UN) and kill the Jews.

The massacre of Deir Yassin predated Israel's declaration of independence so there was no Israeli government policy at the time.

The native Palestinians of Deir Yassin were defenseless according to Red Cross representatives so the sadistic Zionist Terrorist gangs were able to massacre, rape, mutilate & distort with impunity.

"DEIR YASSIN MASSACRE (9 April 1948)"
    https://www.qassam.ps/occupation_terrorism-1200-DEIR_YASSIN_MASSACRE_9_April_1948.html

EXCERPT "The tactics of the Zionist Jews were to frighten defenseless people into fleeing their homes out of fear for their lives.

Two hundred and fifty people were slaughtered. Mutilating the bodies, even before death, the culprits cut off parts and opened the bellies of others. Nursing babies were butchered on the bosoms of helpless mothers.

Of those two hundred and fifty people, twenty-five pregnant women were bayoneted in their abdomens while still alive. Fifty-two children were maimed under the eyes of their own mothers, and then they were slain and their heads cut off. Their mothers were in turn massacred and their bodies mutilated. About sixty other women and girls were also killed and their bodies mutilated. Such are the historical facts concerning the horrible crime perpetrated against the Arab village of Deir Yassin."CONTINUED

    Interesting, "no government"
But the Israeli government apologized to Jordan.
Why did they do that? Did any Arab apologize for killing Jews?
In the glare of international attention, what did the Israelis have to gain for this killing?
How many Arab fighters were involved?
Should a government apologize when it wasn't in existence?
How many Jews do you think the Arabs would have bayoneted if they won that war?

I think it was commendable of the Israeli government to apologize for the heinous crimes committed by the well organized & well armed Zionist terrorist gangs assuming that they actually did so. I'll take your word for it that they actually did apologize.

I think that it is noteworthy that Palestine's native Jews and Arabs co-existed peacefully until the invasion of foreign Zionist terrorist gangs(1) & hope that they could return to co-existing peacefully in the future.
I do not think, however, that a peaceful co-existence is possible without some form of reparations from the Israeli government to the Palestinian Arabs for all that they have lost by whatever means.

    Re:
To be honest, I don't know but doubt it since the Palestinians continue to justifiably consider themselves as victims resisting a foreign invasion / occupation.

    Re:
Again, there was no Israel at the time of Deir Yassin but the Zionist colonists gained copious amounts of Palestinian land with some of it of significant strategic value.

    Re:
It is my understanding that the Palestinians at Deir Yassin were either unarmed or very lightly armed so there would have been few if any "Arab fighters".

    Re:
If its existence was due to cruel & criminal massacres & land seizures, then I feel that it should at least express remorse.

    Re:
Again, I cannot say with certainty but since I know of no examples in which Arab fighters bayonetted pregnant Jewish women & the Palestinians were fighting a defensive war, I wouldn't think so.

Please remember that the intent of the foreign Zionist terrorist gangs was not only to seize land but to instill terror so the Palestinians would flee on their own

    (1) “Top Ten Myths about the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict”
    http://www.foreignpolicyjournal.com/2010/06/17/top-ten-myths-about-the-israeli-palestinian-conflict/

EXCERPT "Myth #1 – Jews and Arabs have always been in conflict in the region.

Although Arabs were a majority in Palestine prior to the creation of the state of Israel, there had always been a Jewish population, as well. For the most part, Jewish Palestinians got along with their Arab neighbors. This began to change with the onset of the Zionist movement, because the Zionists rejected the right of the Palestinians to self-determination and wanted Palestine for their own, to create a “Jewish State” in a region where Arabs were the majority and owned most of the land.

The British Hope-Simpson report of 1930 similarly noted that Jewish residents of non-Zionist communities in Palestine enjoyed friendship with their Arab neighbors. “It is quite a common sight to see an Arab sitting in the verandah of a Jewish house”, the report noted. “The position is entirely different in the Zionist colonies."CONTINUED

Yes, the Israelis did apologize, publicly.

Let's call them "Arab Yassins" (AY) ie Arab massacres of Jews.
There aren't the result of war - wars involve lots of massacres, even my
own country Australia used Japanese POW's for bayonet practice in PNG.

Arabs did not apologize for AY's

    Arabs don't acknowledge AY's

Arab govts boasted of turning Jewish land into Yassins (ie Syria and Egypt)

Blowing up buses and planes; firing rockets; torching the landscape; artillery
strikes on farmers; knife wielding riots; RPG's at civilian vehicles etc etc etc.
    are ATTEMPTED AY's.

Arabs do not seek to arrest or disband AY "soldiers" as a rule (though Fatah
did co-operate for the sake of the "peace" treaty with Israel.

Yassin was an isolated example - that's why Arabs celebrate it. And one
journalist did apologize to Arabs for exaggerating the extent of Yassin -
admitting it was to help rally the Arabs to fight (and not for further flight.)

ps Zionists don't see themselves as colonists - they see themselves as
returning to the land of their nativity. This is technically true - they see
Arabs as colonizers of their ancient land.

One of the things them Jews think is that the Palestinians eventually will give in and accept that they ethnically cleansed 100.000's of civilians to thieve their real estate. And the last 70 years have shown rather well, that the rockets will keep on slamming in. And it's all because of the Jewish religion that supports even genocide if that is what it takes to take the land of Israel. It's the story they are indoctrinated with, of how they massacred the people of Canaan. We all know that stealing is wrong. Seems they refuse to learn, hiding in their nuclear bomb shelters, in their militarized society.

The Jews kill far and far more children by blowing up entire neighborhoods. They Jews also cross over their border to ethnically cleanse Arabs off their land, like they did at the start of forging their country... where they thieved the real estate of 100.000's of Arab civilians for being Arab. As a result it does make those Israeli Jews the most condemned nation on the planet. We all agreed that ethnic cleansing and thieving around is just being dead and dead wrong. It's a war crime. We agreed on that. And the Jews do not care. It is so, because according to their faith, their God approved even genocide to thieve the land of Israel. They take that nonsense from the story of they massacred the civilians of Canaan. It's religious extremism on par with ISIS.

Nope. At its most fundamental its a religious conflict. When you strip away all the politics and partisanship, its about the jews and muslims and dogmatic fulfillment. Been that way for 1400 years or so.

The zionist zealots are as whacko as the whackiest Islamist and NO AMOUNT of reason or politics will ever overcome their unshakable "faith".

As soon as those factions influence is removed, saner heads might prevail, but it ain't happening any time soon between the nation of jews and the nations of Islamic orthodoxy.

Imagine a group of North American Indians flee to Canada (as some did) to avoid the
genocide (you know, like they reckon happened.) And centuries later the descendants
of these Indians return and begin buying up the land of their ancestors.
These Indians are hard working and thrifty, and give a boost to the local economies.
Poor whites flood in to take up jobs created by the new Indians.
And imagine the whites object to these Indians "taking their land." So they start killing
    them.
The UN and the govt steps in, with little success. These bodies create Indian and white
areas. Whites won't accept this and start fighting again. Indians exist on small holdings
and are forced to join these holdings into contiguous areas for defense. Fighting goes
on for generations and Indians start driving whites out of strategic areas to stop them
shelling their farms, infiltrating villages etc..

Who would you support? Indians or whites?
Indians of course in this case represent the Jews who were driven out of their homeland
    in the First Century.

It's more than that. The early settlers (sorry, returning Jews) were not all
Zionists - they were people who had nowhere else to go as they had been
pushed from country to country since losing Israel 1900 years earlier.

All returning settlers were zionist in the early era of jewish immigration to palestine. The fact they were not welcome in other places is not why most of them moved there. Return to the promise land is a kinda foundational religious desire of the entire religion.

Right and wrong. Early ones (ca 1897) were "Zionists" but others were refugees.
    Refugees vastly outnumber Zionists.
And anti-settlement Jews outnumber settlement Jews - but that's a quirk of their
    Knesset system.
Early "settlers" (hate that term for people returning to their homeland) were largely
left-wing, liberal and internationalist in sentiment. Endless wars and terrorism have
    shifted Israel to the right.

I grant the political divide between the sabras and the influx of jews from europe fleeing persecution and looking for a better life. But that doesn't change the underlying fundamental motivations of all three of the major religions who claim it as holy land. The politics of the day and the status of the moment are incidental to that reality.

The massacre of Deir Yassin never happened. Just another lie invented by our enemies.

Here's the first part of a PBS series, where the man responsible for spreading the lie admits he was lying (14 minutes into the video):

Most of what our enemies say about Israel and Jews are either lies, including distorted half-truths, or the fruit of a very vivid imagination.
