    1. What exactly grows in any of those states?
    2. Why would we pay to buy from those states when it will be cheaper in states with larger populations (more product lower price)
    3. With only about 2M among them where are they going to get the tax money to pay for the roads bridges and other infrastructure of their relatively large states?

These reasons is why they don't really have value, because they are cold so they can only produce so much and what they can, is do-able in other states for more of the year. You need a good amount of tax payers to pay for the upkeep which they just don't have.

Maui does sound nice tbh and its small enough to where the dead vegetation could be removed preventing the fires, maybe they will even let buy all the land so that they can let us put a gun ban on our property and let the police enforce it since the state is completely anti gun.

I think we've beaten this to death and will not agree on much more but thanks for the debate on this.

1)Well now that we are including Wyoming and Montana it’s more complicated. North Dakota is easy it’s 90% Ag land. Wheat, canola, soybeans, corn and specialty crops like dry beans and chick peas would be go-to crops. Crops in your other stated would be similar. All would have varying sized beef production.

But Wyoming is a different bird economically. It grows oil, gas, coal, and ICBM’s. Comparing it to ND is difficult.
2)Population of a state has little bearing on agricultural efficiency. If anything it would be negative because of land use competition driving up land values and simultaneously driving down ROI.
3)That’s a very valid argument for Wyoming. It has a very high percentage of government employees and is a big net “taker” from the federal government. In its favor though is it’s more diverse economy.

In contrast, ND is one of ten states that contribute more to the federal treasury than they take. I would think it would be well positioned to stand on its own.

Well, Ag land values are certainly less up north. For example comparative land in my area to what we figured at $1800/acre would run about $2800/acre. As you point out there is more yield potential here and it’s reflected in the land value.

However, yields aren’t the only factor. For example, I just checked basis for corn in eastern SD and it’s averaging about $.06/bushel. Basis here today where I sell corn is $.18/bushel. So effectively corn is worth $.12/bushel more in SD than here.

On to the tax issue, it’s my opinion loss of federal revenue to states would force increased efficiency. States like ND and my own that are net contributors to the fed gov would adapt well and likely end up better off.

Putting homeless to work is commendable. Go do it.

Yeh, good call on the gun issue. If you want to raise any livestock that would be hell in Wyoming or ND without firearms. Hawaii is perfect in that respect. No predators.

As I said in another thread - the skin color game is old and tired.

If you have no actual argument, no thoughtful offerings on a subject? - just throw race out there and that's supposed cover your inability to engage in debate/discussion.

As a leftist, you don't believe in the rule of law, or defending our borders.

The Soviet Union is more your speed.

I don't know if you realize this, but the Soviet Union doesn't exist anymore. :)

What specifically are they doing to attack America.

You claimed Green New Deal. But decided not answer when asked what exactly is America hating in the 'deal'.
I don't just throw race out there, the R party does whenever they bring up BS and it's always towards non whites. And when questioned, dodge and/or deflect, as you did about Green New Deal.
As a leftist, I see you don't know a thing about what you thing a leftist thinks, says, or does. Just what 1 or 2 might say and you broad brush it. Binary thinking does that.

If border defending was so important, then we'd also be going after illegal employers for hiring immigrants. But RW always dismisses them.
The reason most came here was for work to make a better life for themselves. And companies like tRUMPs hire them.

So spare you open border BS when the RW hires those they cry about coming here.

If you understand so little about economics that you don't understand how devastating such "environmental" laws would be, then there isn't much I can tell you on a message board that would get you up to speed. If you believe all that Al Gore, 97% nonsense, then you are nothing if not immensely gullible.

Suffice it to say that the proposed "Green New Deal" would relegate the United States to 3rd world status in pretty short order.

If that doesn't constitute an "attack", I don't know what does.

That said, the economic realities notwithstanding, these ludicrous proposals are merely the predictable endgame for the fraud that says CO2 is a "pollutant" that causes "global warming".

The science, the actual science, the actual empirical evidence clearly shows that CO2 is not a driver of climate, and that we are not moving toward some cataclysmic "tipping point".

CO2 caused "global warming" is, and always has been, a political vehicle designed to advance attacks against capitalism in general, and United States inparticular.

LOL... You guys can't type a letter or flap your gums with one word without screaming racism.

    Reparations?? Gimme a break.

I've read more leftist literature than you have I'm sure. I've been at this for many years, and used to work in the field of anti-communism professionally.

The only reason I quit was b/c I came to see that the war between right vs left, good vs. evil, liberty vs subjugation was already lost. The damage was done and irreversible.

The evidence of this is you. Citizens like you who haven't a clue about history, economics, governmental systems. You've been indoctrinated, and it is highly unlikely you will ever be able to break free.

I'm not a Republican, and don't have to defend instances of hypocracy.

I agree that the USCoC greases the skids to ensure that cheap labor is imported - and both parties are complicit with them in their charade.

That said, I have worked with a good many illegals, and I know full well that most of them are here to simply earn a better living for their families. I count some of them amoung my good friends today.

None of that negates our governments duty to properly protect and regulate our borders.

My wife is an immigrant, and we had to spend several thousand $$$ to get her and my daughter here. So don't go thinking you belong on a soap box.

It is entirely proper that any nation control and regulate its borders and immigration influx. To argue otherwise is ridiculous.

Other than the creation of jobs for the President, Congress, and US Postal Service what jobs do you claim are mandated by the Constitution?

I see, you again have to dig into personal attacks to make a point. Which actually means you have NO point.
I don't care or even know what Al Gore says. I've never listened to him. I doubt you have either. But I'm sure you get your fill from RW sources that give you your talking points.

Saying the green new deal would relegate the USA to 3rd world status is more RW rhetoric without any substantive facts.
I asked for specifics, and you throw out talking points.

As for racism, if it walks, talks, and acts like a duck. It's a duck. No matter how much one denies it.

LOL, leftist literature and you throw in the communist with it.
No one who talks about communist type gov't is taken serious. More RW BS talking points.

Our immigration policy is, IMO, exactly where the 2 parties want it to be. They've been back and forth for 40 or more years and have done nothing meaningful in changing any policies.
I am not on some soap box, you just like attacking I guess, I am on the box of don't scream about a problem when neither party is working towards a solution to fix the problem.
IMO, a wall is not an answer. Its a small bandaid what many like to call a huge problem.
But if it's a huge problem, and those immigrant workers weren't wanted or needed, they find a real solution. Not a political talking point bandaid.

Yes we need control of the border. But what is the real solution? No one ever offers that up. Just wall talk.

Of course states have the right to secede - they are supposedly sovereign are they not??

Lincoln and the North were wrong in prosecuting the war. The cause may have been right, but the war was wrong.

It is the only issue that finds support on both sides. Let's just call it quits and break up the US. The fundamental problem is that one set of laws doesn't work for a nation this big. Red States and Blue States are never going to agree on key issues. And it isn't worth killing millions of people to force one side to comply with the other. It sure as hell isn't worth a civil war when the issue is culture.

But Congress has to amend the Constitution to allow secession. So write your representatives.

The "fundamental problem" is that Democrats, progressives, socialists, communists, etc, can't keep their grubby mitts off of the public treasury and other peoples money and property.

If you people would just live your lives, provide for your own families, and leave others alone - we'd get on fine.

But you can't do that, can you??
