How about telling the four to go back to where they came from. Or his comments saying all Mexicans immigrants were rapists or criminals or saying that a judge with a Mexican heritage couldn't be fair because of his heritage. Or his birtherism nonsense against Obama. Or his discrimination against minorities in his developments. Need more. Probably can find them.
You seem to want to define racism and racist comments in a very particular way that would cut Trump's racist comments out.
Sure, cite the instances where he is saying that their race is inferior. What races are you speaking of exactly?
rac·ist /ˈrāsəst/ noun 1. a person who shows or feels discrimination or prejudice against people of other races, or who believes that a particular race is superior to another. "the comments have led to her being called a racist" synonyms: racial bigot, racialist, xenophobe, chauvinist; More adjective 1. showing or feeling discrimination or prejudice against people of other races, or believing that a particular race is superior to another. "we are investigating complaints about racist abuse at the club" Feedback
Here- I'll ask my question again since you failed to answer: What comments did Trump make that are racist? Just cite them. It should be easy since you keep saying he's so racist.
Hillary isn’t white? Biden? Megyn Kelly? Crazy Bernie? Paul Ryan? Nancy Pelosi? Elizabeth Warren oops, my bad, axe Warren. Stormy Daniels? Naw, Trump is definitely an equal opportunity attacker.
Been done multiple times by me and others. You ignore that and attempt to restrict the definition of what is a racist comment as a deflection. There you go.
Those are people he has attacked personally for saying and revealing things about him that he didn't like, and of course in one case for being his opponent in a general election.
I’ve been laughing myself silly at these racist threads. Your claim actually made me snort laugh so thought it deserved a bump. As far as telling people where to go and who, I don’t know if he’s told anyone else. Frankly, I’m not the type of person to not see race in everything. About every politician has done or said something that can be interpreted as racist by some group. I prefer to judge politicians by the results of their policies, not every little comment they make. Arguing about racism is counterproductive in my opinion. You aren’t going to change anyone’s mind, you’ve got to change their heart. Calling people racists and criticizing them doesn’t help. I think it’s time to quit seeing race and racism in every situation and get back to changing hearts by being good examples for the young. If we did that, I believe we could defeat racism in a generation, certainly two. Making a big deal out of it, especially politically, ensures it’s survival in my opinion. And I’m not just talking about Trump. We need to get race out of politics period.
No, you are convinced Trump is a racist. My question was an attempt to get PF members to re-examine their positions. Let’s try another angle. What is the appropriate way to criticize someone of a different race? What words are ok and what words are not? Should we ever even criticize someone of another race? Is stating a fact about someone of another race racist? Is there any hope that someday the same words spoken to two different individuals of differing race can be interpreted the same way by observers?
You are being obtuse. Trump is a Politician - he is not going to say things that would hurt his election chances. Get a grip. What you are saying is mindless. If you look at his Policies however - they have social darwinism written all over them. Xenophobia against immigrants - his .. tax cuts that benefit mostly the rich.. he is awfully friendly with Lil Kim and has spoken and his respect for dictators - those at the top of the food chain - is obvious. You clearly do not know what social darwinism is .. sorry but if you did you would realize these things. Reagan and Thatcher were Eugenics adherents .. as are many of the big money interests - how else would they rationalize and justify their hierarchy ?
It's always amusing to see people lose their minds claiming Trump is a racist. It was very clear what he said, and very clear what he meant. If you hate America, leave. Since the people he was talking about, constantly say hateful things towards the US, and the laws of the the sovereign nation of the United States of America, then they should go, where they would be happy. End of line.
It is very clear what he said and what he meant. He meant for them to move to 'where they came from' when all of them are American citizens and only one was born anywhere other than where they currently are. That makes him a moronic ignorant buffoon at best. If you can't handle the criticism that Americans level at their leaders or their government, you can't handle living here at all, because that is how we historically have shown our patriotic love of country and it is what the founders intended we do with our first amendment rights. . You clearly would be a lot happier living somewhere else where 'haters' can't criticize their leaders or govt,, so when you are done eating grass, go buy an airplane ticket somewhere where you will be free of that problem.
There are three things Trump has had to walk back, all of them despicable moments in his candidacy/presidency: Access Hollywood, Charlottesville, and the "send her back" rally. The reporting is that GOP leaders went to Pence and told him the **** has to stop.
A belief in superiority of one race over another. Insults directed at specific individuals are not racist and that does not change when the individual is a minority
