How do you view people of the opposing party?

I'm neither and didn't participate in your poll. But I believe those who vote only by the R and or the D and not for the best candidate put party above country. They're only interested in party rule and not good, competent government. It's loyalty to party that has our country in the position it is in today.

 

I don't have a party so I view everyone the same.

One last clarification, however -- I do not (NOT) endorse putting any children in "concentration camps". My solution to all this endless carping and bitching about the 'conditions' of the housing/feeding/medical care/etc. of the facilities provided to aliens who come barging in here illegally, and/or who make claims for "asylum" (most of which are completely fraudulent) is that we simply and justifiably declare a total MORATORIUM on ALL immigration of ALL kinds into the United States for an initial period of five years. We already have a national population of 330,000,000 -- we don't NEED any more! Still, if aliens want to come in here with temporary visas and/or "green card" work permits, that's just fine with me -- so long as they LEAVE here when they're supposed to!

You might agree it would be hard for the hordes of migrants and their liberal American collaborators to complain about the horrible conditions found in 'facilities' provided for them at U. S. taxpayer expense if they never get into the United States in the FIRST PLACE! Mexico let them in -- let Mexico provide them with a more pleasant "home away from home", or, the migrants could simply GO home.... We need to SEAL OUR BORDER SHUT TO ALL IMMIGRATION, and we need to do it NOW!

I used to give them the benefit of a doubt in that they loved America in a different way than I do, but no. They'd rather set America on fire and watch it burn than share power with anyone but a Democrat.

I am truly embarrassed to say that I was once a registered democrat, in my ignorant youth. I believed all the bull that the party spewed about Republicans. That they are mean and evil and horrible hateful people, but a funny thing happened on the way to the forum, I started meeting many Republicans and what a shock, they were nothing at all and I mean nothing at all like democrats made them out to be. Democrats talked a lot about helping people, just a lot of talk, it was Republicans that I saw actually helping people, they are infinitely more generous in helping poor people than I ever saw out of democrats, again, talk, talk, talk, and little action unless they could do so with other peoples money. I witnessed Republicans giving their own money to charities. I started to question just about everything the democratic party spewed out of their mouths, then around my mid to late 20's I grew brain cells and switched parties. I don't dislike democrats but I worry about their sanity every day. They are the most gullible people on the planet. the word sheeple grew out of how they blindly followed their Messiah Obama, a more perfect description could not have been more precise.

 

I'm seeing a commonality between all factions of radical Democrats -- and all their anger, all their angst, all their hatred for Trump, all their hatred for all Conservatives (especially White people), and all their unhappiness with their place in the world seems to focus -- tightly -- on one thing: THEY WANT THE GOVERNMENT TO GIVE THEM EVERYTHING THEY WANT IN LIFE. It really is as simple as that....

Sure, they blow around about 'climate change', and 'White privilege', along with all the Nazi-esque "Me too" allegations against nearly anybody with a penis, and, of course, the never-ending blather about 'RACISM!', etc., etc., etc.

But at the center of it all is the intense allergy they have developed to their own abysmal FAILURE in life, and their own despairing inability to become proud, productive, self-supporting citizens in this country. So -- they simply throw their hands in the air, complain loudly that THEIR failures are not THEIR fault, and then bitch self-righteously that they expect the government to give them everything they want.... And all the Democrat candidates are working themselves in a competitive lather trying to outdo each other in promising them exactly THAT!

 

Well, except without Republicans that provide most of the jobs in this country, who would fund the idiotic ideas of this "advance" you write about? Without Republicans it would take about a day and a half for the US to collapse in to a third world country.

 

I'd be much more embracing of the left were it not for their excuses and scapegoats for Radical Islam and terror attacks.

I believe that a liberal is someone who generally severely lacks confidence in their own ability, and thus looks to others to address that shortcoming.

My wife, and most of my closest confidants are liberals. Their political views are silly, and their perspectives that shaped those views sometimes terrifying, but they are their own.

You'd have to be a fascist to believe that any individual was not entitled to the views of their choosing.

 

Wealthy liberals aren't really diligent upon paying their fair share, let alone what they are currently required.

I see the moderates of both parties as fine. Both sides have their unreasonable fringes, and the fringes seem to be rising in popularity on both sides. HOWEVER, the fringe seems to have taken complete control of the Republican party at this point. So long as it remains the Party of Trump, I see nothing appealing about it.

 

Liberal and conservative today is being defined by the hateful rhetoric of political opposition. There is a mixture of both in most Americans but the hardened lines have driven the choices to one extreme or the other with no middle ground.

Kidding aside, it depends on the individuals. Some are well minded and interesting and cool to learn from, others are just repulsive.

 

I disagree. It's becoming clearer every day that Trumpists disagree on what the country IS, and/or what ANY country is. And maybe even more importantly, they disagree on whether others should be able to disagree with them. Trumpists make it increasingly clear they don't see me as just a political opponent but as an evil degenerate engaged in plots with shadowy and Satanic forces to destroy humanity. I return the favor and thus politics becomes this murderous crusade we see it becoming now.
