I am... I'm a minority where I live... no more than 5% of us here, I see overt bigotry and I understand the more subtle aspects of bigotry due to my cultural background.. I deal with it and I have thrived despite it.

I agree. Calling a country a 'Shithole' Country does not in any way imply race. Even if the people in that country are all or predominately black, brown, or whatever. It isn't that the people who live there are of a particular skin color because of that skin color. It is a because it is a 'shithole' country that they want to come here. It would be just as much a 'shithole' country if the people were any other skin color. Unfortunately, we do not have the room or the resources to take in all the poor, uneducated, distressed people from 'shithole' countries who want to come here no matter what their skin color is.

Possibly. For sure at some point the leftist MSM, which is most of it, made the decision to abandon all pretense of objective journalism and the ethics that go with it, and went all in to support, defend, and protect President Obama and launch a full scale frontal attack against anybody who opposed him. And once the 2016 campaign started warming up, they double downed on that and went into full overdrive to do the same for Hillary and attack the Republicans, most especially Trump once he started gaining momentum.
