The point is, does 'character' count? Would you accept immoral behavior from people you need to trust? Does your doctor lie to you because it is allowed in the constitution?

 

Economic growth comes from superior policy. Spending is a political decision. Democrats never (with the exception of Bill Clinton) cut spending even though they promise to do it. Still waiting for the spending cuts promised by Tip to Ron.

Good reason. The Democrats in the modern era tend to try to underfund the U.S. military

 

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

You don't achieve those goals, as stated in the preamble, with divisive, dishonest, hateful, exclusive rhetoric.

 

We could cut military spending in half and still have the most powerful military on earth.

But no, it’s not just military spending republicans drive up.

 

However the Republicans started a $2-trillion war, on false pretenses, without funding; and put it on a credit card. Then they blamed the Dems for the debt.

Obama, on the other hand, took out 2/3 of the Al-Qaeda leadership with nothing but drones, at a fraction of the cost. So when the Dems run the military, they don't need as much money.

 

This is just unbelievably ridiculous. There is NO way of suggesting we don't spend enough on our military.

In fact, we supply arms to countries such as Saudi Arabia and Israel and use our military in total absence of logic in cases such as Iraq and Libya - producing problems that then get used as argument for MORE spending!!

 

As long as these people are squawking racist there can never be a tone of civility or unity. They are the enemy within. There is no value in civility. They simply must be conquered. Trump understands that.

I bet if Trump hung himself Tomorrow people would be bitching about how racist that is. These people simply cannot be pleased until everybody just agrees with their nonsense. The president's job is to fight against domestic enemies.

If they want civilly they must resign.

 

When Obama left office most of the Air Force units and most likely the other services had so many aircraft out of service because of lack of parts, that about half of the Air Force squadrons were declared non-operational. Much of the debt we are accumulating now is getting those aircraft operational.

That's because after the Republicans destroyed the economy, they imposed severe spending cuts for the military. Obama got stuck with the ashes of the Republican disaster - an economic crash and two unfunded wars.

He is acting like the ass he is and doing this intentionally. His goal is to paint all Dems as the extreme left, by focusing all attention on less than 1% of the House of Representatives. By race baiting, he pumps his base.

If trump hung himself tomorrow, a hundred million people would be dancing in the streets with joy.

I'm not a lefty but the right wing is living in a total fantasy land. It has become completely irrational and has no perspective or sense of magnitude. While their president tears the country apart, they worry about a freshman congresswoman who may not be around in another year.

 

And Trump was stuck with getting it back in shape.

The military was requesting the funds to keep it going, but they did not get them.

 

Trump is directly assaulting our constitution by working to destroy ideas of equality and by defeating the checks and balances system that our founders put in place.

I'm VERY confident that Trump leaving office is not even slightly enough, as repairing our government is not something that can be easily accomplished and his time in office has shown who we are as a nation - a nation with a huge constituency of racists and xenophobes who oppose our most fundamental national tenets of belief.
