We have now joined our American friends in having a buffoon-in-chief instead of a commander-in-chief.

"We are going to get Brexit done on 31 October and take advantage of all the opportunities it will bring with a new spirit of can do.

"We are once again going to believe in ourselves, and like some slumbering giant we are going to rise and ping off the guy ropes of self doubt and negativity."

Yes, let's get rid of the doom, gloom and negativity that the remoaners brought with them. I suggest those who don't like it, get out, go move to France or Germany etc.. If you dislike Brexit, get out, you're not welcome.

    Cool.
seriously though, who is there that put their name in the hat that wasn't a total twozzok....I mean the talent pool isn't exactly brimming over in there in Whitehall now is it!
Can we please have someone that has a spark of leadership in them rather than these totally gormless liberal fairycake turds that now inhabit the political scene in the UK....piggin country is consumed by centerists that haven't got the bollocks or the nouce to actually lead a country. All we have is a bunch of committee members intent on popularist management of expectations rather than creating expectation through purpose and vision. Sod the fukcing lot of them....rant over....1.15 and the Lamb's enticing me for a swift half or two...or three...

Just e-mailed my local politician to ask if he's quit the cabinet because he's a remoaner. He was one of the most out of touch useless MP's to grace the shores of the UK. The sooner these inept politicians quit, the better.

It would be nice to see the back of them, but the Tory remainers have already tried to betray the UK once, so turning their coats to toady up to the new PM will be second nature.

Has the clown a plan how to support the farmers in NI and Wales, completely funded by the EU ?

My experience with Scotland is that the population have become accustomed to be taken care of by government. WTF happened to Scots?

We shall probably live just as well, if not better than we did before the EU. The UK is thousands of years old the EU just some 50 years if that. So good riddance EU. The UK won't dump farmers, and infact, we can support even more when the direct debit is cancelled.

Touch wood, I'll be able to open the bottle of Moet soon.

I suggest you emigrate to an EU member state, assuming you're in the UK. The less remoaners, the better.

The Scottish joined the union because of English wealth. Just over £2,000 more is spent on per head in Scotland than HMRC receive in taxation. So say on average, £5,000 per head on average is collected, £7,000 per head on average is spent on them.

Goodbye free parking, free NHS prescriptions, free tution etc.. and welcome reality the ungrateful *********.

The countries which stand behind the EU are as old as the UK.
But you did not tell me how you are going to finance your farmer, just an example, if they have to face WTO trade rules, concerning the EU, besides all the EU subsidies, which keep them afloat.
Like the US farmers and the tariffs ?

    Dream world.

How ignorant and patronising you are! Are you a Daily Mail reader? You surely don't believe that the annual GERS report has one iota of relevance to an independent Scotland, do you? When the UK deficit was as high in proportion to GDP as the Scottish one I don't remember anyone bleating that the UK couldn't afford to be independent...do you? All GERS shows is how crap the UK is at running Scotland, and illustrates that we couldn't be any worse off with independence. .It isn't as if we are going to continue running Scotland the way the UK does...I suspect we won't have 10,000+ pages of tax rules, for example or have a military ready to shoot up any country in the world the USA tells us to attack...and I suspect we might manage to make some money from the oil, rather than make a loss because we hand the oil companies so much in tax breaks...and we won't be helping to fund 850 unelected Lords, 650 MPs and 409,000 civil servants.

Anyway, it is the UK borrowing that we all pay towards that subsidies the UK....London and the South East don't even subsidise English spending, however Westminster spins it...and most of that borrowing is spent in London and Scotland, Wales and NI don't have any say in Westminster's borrowing and don't benefit from it, and have to fund their own borrowing, and devolved governments on top of contributing to Westminster profligracy. Scotland's "borrowing" is pretty much all down to Westminster charging us for a share of Westminster departments, like the MOD, HMRC, Central Government etc and a share of Westminster's debt interst.

If we are such a drain on the rest of the UK, why don't you encourage us to get out from under Westminster's thumb, then? Many of your compatriots would be quite happy for us to go, if it means England can get its no-deal Brexit. We'll happily give you back Trident and the rusting hulks of nuclear submarines piled up in Rosyth and take back the 6,000 square miles of Scottish waters Westminster appropriated to England just before they opened the Scottish Parliament.

“The only function of economic forecasting is to make astrology look respectable,” said J.K. Galbraith...and GERS is political chicanery...it was designed by Ian Lang when he was the Conservative Scottish Secretary of State back in the 1990s as a political tool to be used against those arguing for greater Scottish self-government, a role it has continued to fulfil ever since, so trying to forecast the finances of an independent Scotland on the basis of economic forecasting based on guesstimated figures and Westminster allocations of "for Scotland" spending has as much accuracy as an indictor of the economics of an independent Scotland as reading chicken entrails would offer.

I don't suppose you would care to tell me what you think being part of the UK does for Scotland that we couldn't do just as well, and probably better, for ourselves...if we wanted to do it, of course? .Just one thing?

I would say a couple of the most pathetic things I notice is people crying about the elite and then supporting one of the most elitist people in the country on a project supported by Hedge Funds who will be beginning by reducing taxes for the rich....and as for any Independence, England is setting forth on a project to be owned by the US - and yes it will be the break up of the UK a country with only 300 years history, just older than the US. Watching people cheer when they have been tricked by the elite into supporting what is going to destroy them is pathetic.

Thank you, the remoaners have shown none, in fact, you could say undemocratic by trying to overturn the result. So again, if they don't like it, get out, go.
