Will it happen....or is it going to be a lot of talking points, negotiated "deals", agreements, understandings, etc....:)))

I watched a video the other day of Johnson when he was still mayor... sliding down a zipline and getting stuck in the middle  I confess my first thoughts were ... "I wonder if he has some form of Autism...." not that there's anything wrong with that... he just seems to be rather unique

Despite everything I admit I like the idea of Johnson as PM, he's more likely to shake things up and May was just truely pathetic. Her lowest point for me was when she went to South Africa... did her stupid stick dance then handed the corrupt ANC millions of British taxpayers money so they can fill their pockets.... I can't see Boris doing this...he just doesn't fall over himself to please everyone... like May used to.

Not sure you understand economics that well, the UK is Germany’s third biggest trading partner exporting €86B so if that shrinks by 12% (probably more as German goods are more expensive / luxury) plus your greater share of the €8B shortfall and your well over €12B hit to the German economy and you think this is a good thing?

Still have the 8 Billion shortfall to make

Yes its a good thing. We would lose more of the uk has a sucessful brexit. For Germany and France its of highest importance, that the uk fails. We are an export power. We use the EU economic power to negotiate trade deals in our favor. We were able to counterstrikr trumps attacks against us because the EU negotiation power. If brexit is sucessful, eu falls apart and we would become vasalls like the uk.

Its a german core interest to see the uk fail, no matter the cost

And yet the EU agreed to a deal the helps both sides.

I disagreed with Brexit as I think it’s a bad idea, but I agree with unit has the potential to rip the EU apart. Partly it’s the EUs fault due to its inflexibility and being really run for the benefit of one or two countries.

The best thing Britain can do is walk out with a polite ”Thanks, but no thanks”.

Because the German statistics guys got an order from Merkel to stop counting immigrants.
    And Germans always follow orders.

France has close to 10% unemployment rate.
    Britain has less than 4%.
France cannot afford to lose more buziness. Simple.
You will have hard breaxit and the EU clueless technocrats lead by the incompatent Luxenburg guy will not know how to handle it.
I want to see Greece and Spain loosing British tourism. This is going to be a sight.
Housing cost crashing down in economies that are already bunkrupt.
Ye, sure, dont sigh any treaties with UK.

Well they may or may not be stupid but he was not elected by the people of the UK. He was only elected by 100,000 people who have Tory Membership. Those will in the main be rich and old.

Your economy is heavily dependent on exports. You already sell as much overseas as you possibly can. With U.K. leaving you will lose a major buyer. Currently in 2018 your GDP lost (Notice - Negative!) 1.5 percent. Now you take the second largest economic partner from EU with all of that free trade and what are you going to get? Your GDP grows with dip even further into negatives. That’s because you are sellers. UK will be able to negotiate trade deals for themselves, maybe pay a bit more for their stuff, still yet losing a large customer is like 1,000 times worse.
UK brexit can really cause a serious and prolonged recession in Germany. That’s why I’m a strong believer that Johnson must do nothing - just sit and wait for November 2019. Merkel will come crawling begging for a deal within first couple of weeks.

My, my... what a variety of opinions! :juggle:

The only 'take-away' I think we all can agree on is that this would be a really, really BAD time to invest in Janamaz futures in the British market! :roflol:

According to this site U.K. is your 4th largest export destination.

After Brexit you will be so butthurt, your Merkel will crawl to Johnson and beg him for a deal! UK can always chose to buy somewhere else. You, a seller, cannot.
With your negative growth in 2018 you are doomed!

Ha, 1 ounce of Britain is worth more than a ton of Germany, if you consider economy, military, culture and history.

Well, we will talk when your unemployment skyrockets. You are sellers, not buyers. UK are buyers and choosers. They can pick another seller for higher prices and you will be the one who’ll be smashing laxatives all over your glory hole when your economy with negative growth starts to feel the full impact.

After Brexit every German will feel like he/she is was effed by a train.

Likely the EU will turn more to Russia and China for any trade shortfall.

This will mean that the EU will no longer be such lackeys for US policy as they persue a more independent one. Plus, it can't hurt getting one of the Five Eyes out of the EU.

So, maybe some short term pain for the EU while it adjusts. Look for a quick adjustment, though. The medium and long term look much better without being saddled with the UK, which has shown itself willing to be a surrogate for US policy.

    :sleepy:

EU already has the best deal it could get from China or paRussia. Not a whole lot of wiggle room left there.
And Germany is an export country - Russians and Chinese are broke, not a whole lot they can sell there.

Another thing, this post just shows how clueless some people are.
Germany is about to lose their 3rd or 4th largest buyer and some here say that Germany should just go to China and Russia and buy more cheap crap.
It’s like telling someone who just lost their job to go spend more money.

Russia and China are broke??? Hahaha... you're a funny guy.

Guess you haven't kept up with the BRI or the Northern Sea Route or hey, even Nord Stream 2 which is about to rid the EU and Russia of the tar baby that is Ukraine.

In the long run, the UK is as much a liability for the EU as Ukraine. As with Ukraine, the UK will get lip service from the EU but, make no mistake about it, the EU is already looking ahead to its post-Brexit days.

Trade between the UK and the EU will not be lost. It will be reduced.

    Drama queen much?

The US fought for their independence and eventually did very well. When Great Britain was independent they also did very well.

They'll have trade deals around the world, first with the US, and then likely with the Commonwealth of Nations, once known as the British Commonwealth. Countries around the world are doing very well without being a member of the EU. Leave and perhaps that will serve as an inspiration to other good people trapped within the corrupt and dysfunctional EU.
