But the great recession saw many of those type jobs go away. And insurance companies were kicking ppl off individual plans with no hope of getting new coverage because for profits didn't make as much profit.

A higher percentage of Americans have smart phones, internet, and cable tv than health insurance. Health care is affordable if it’s a priority.

Doctors don’t work for free, hospitals aren’t naturally occurring rock formations, and x ray machines don’t draw electricity from the air.

Health care costs money.

agree with that too, but sadly the government dietary recommendations can lead to those issues, and many follow them, if they do get the diseases, having access to health care would potentially increase life expectancy - but yes, preventive actions are always the best solution, with that we agree

 

Do 44% million not paying federal income tax? Does EVERYONE in Japan pay into the system no matter what? In the U.S. a little less than 1/2 of the population don't really pay for the services they use, when it all comes down to it. If you're poor, all you're paying is sales tax for the most part and local property taxes. That's about it. Far too many aren't really paying their fair share for anything.

 

Too many leechers in this country for it to work. You would have way more using it than contributing to it.

 

Obamacare is just a band-aid. The real issue is the level of sickness. Americans are fatter and sicker than ever and you and I are being forced to make and keep them that way. Pharm products do not make people healthier.
