BTW, any proof of an afterlife? I'll wait.

I never argued that people would never die.

    Prove ME wrong.

Why would I need proof? If a religious person believes it, than it's worth it to him.

I chose Buddhism only because I assume you were referring to organized religion. If we are talking about belief systems within the spectrum of theism (as opposed to atheism or agnosticism) I would have chosen "free thinker" and constructed my own independent concept of a deity.

You argued that the method of death was of utmost importance when in fact it is not.

Prove me wrong, which you have failed thus far to attempt.

What a shock then when in the last moments of life the discovery of nothing further must be. Wasted all that time hoping it would be otherwise only to discover that hope was for nothing.

Your asking why you need proof indicates that you have none and are just debating for the sake of debate, no truth involved.

In other words, for nothing just like what occurs after death.

Prove me wrong, which of course you can't.

What I can see (and don't need to prove) is that you totally don't understand the point I was making. I don't care about the afterlife. I'm an agnostic and don't take these various creeds seriously, which is why if a gun were held to my head to convert, I'd do it. It would be a fake conversion anyway, but I would prefer living my life with a little bit of hypocrisy involved than being tortured and killed.

You on the other hand, seem to prefer going out in a blaze of glory that will make no difference to anyone, except to yourself, and then only in your last moments of excruciating pain. You are dying for no cause, no creed, and no belief. It's simply death trolling, so you can understand my skepticism that you, or anyone would actually do that.

Religious believers are motivated to accept martyrdom because for them, it actually is martyrdom. For you on the other hand, it's a last brief moment of utter stupidity.

Dying for no reason is not ethical. Actually, choosing death when you have a choice and it profits no one, is unethical. Plus, you might let the murderer loose, which would again be unethical.

Based on your answer, it looks like you absolutely didn't understand anything I wrote. So to clarify, what "fantasy" do you think I'm preferring to believe in?

What do I believe in that's "warm and fuzzy?"

How have I been proven wrong?

There is no choice. You are going to die regardless of what you believe.

    Prove me wrong.

I understood EVERYTHING you wrote. I just totally disagree with your premise.

Your fantasy is religion. There have been thousands of religions and you think you have the right one? Highly doubtful. Your beliefs give you a warm and fuzzy feeling of being cared for. You are not. This proves you to be at the very least wrong, perhaps intentionally.

You will never admit you are wrong until it is to late for you and that's a shame.

Anyway, a literate religious fanatic is better than an illiterate anti-religious fanatic.

The one I chose is the right one. Jesus rose from the dead. Too many witnesses to be a fairytale, not to mention the experience I had when He filled me with the Holy Spirit. You can't explain that away.

Imagination and myth. No actual proof of it and no relics from the alleged occasions.

It wasn't imaginary or a myth when I was filled with the Holy Spirit. It was the most unforgettable moment of my life.

Psychosis can be unforgettable too. Just saying, a psychological experience doesn't make it true.

It's not a bad thing though.

It wasn't psychosis. The Bible is true. God fills believers of Jesus with the Holy Spirit. You're not a believer so you wouldn't know.
