OK then - Here the main network news CNN, Fox, MSNBC is not news. It is editorial. First rule of journalism school "Thou Shalt Not Editorialize". It has degraded to the level of "The Star" or "National Enquirer" in many ways.

These editorializing pundits continuously squabble over hot button issues - Abortion, Gay Marriage, Stormy Daniels, and so on - the left on one side and the right on the other. This serves to keep the people divided. They argue on the extremes to prop up a black vs white - good vs evil paradigm. If you are on their side of the issue you are "Good" ... if you disagree you are "Evil". This is classic "demonization of the other" tactics - a mind control technique.

When they are not doing this the networks are propping up the Establishment narrative of the day - and dissenting opinion is mostly ignored. If it is covered it is demonized and the spin is outrageous - rife with the "Sin of Omission).

Those who would dare to dissent from the Establishment narrative - are fired - some - like Phil Donahue (male Opera Winfrey who dominated the space for 2 decades) who spoke out against the Iraq war - has never worked since.

In 2013 it became legal for our intelligence agencies to create and disseminate propaganda on US citizens. Not that this was not happening previously but now it is "State Sanctioned" In true Orwellian doublespeak fashion the "Ministry of Truth" is where propaganda is created.

There is not only newspapers, we're more and more aware of the problem of newspaper because deeply, they're a long lived problem. The influence of a few on the mass was already a problem in the 19th century.
Now, a bigger problem is google, youtube.

Personnaly, I try to stay more and more aside from all of that. I stopped watch the tv for a long time, and now I'm more and more listening conferences, to read more books. I just avoid to give too much attention to scandals and that kind of things.
