    Is that the bass player from Metallica? It looks just like him. :lol:

    I love Nickel Creek and Chris Thile is one of the most talented musicians on the planet. This is from the Goat Rodeo concert DVD that Thile performed in:



    We saw Nickel Creek when they were touring their first album almost 20 years ago - they opened a folk festival we attended in Richmond, VA with zydeco musician Terrence Simeon and guitar legend Junior Brown. What a great concert...

    She has a beautiful voice. Its so comfortable to listen to.



    When I first listened to them, I noticed the mandolin sound was so present. The sound reminded me of my grandfather, outside drinking wine and playing the mandolin. I had not thought of that in years. I got so happy with the sound and the memory, I went out and bought us a mandolin. lol
    The first song I heard played to me with that mandolin was this. Beautiful!

    "The Lighthouse Tale", one of my favorite Nickel Creek songs. There is something about the calm simplicity of this song that speaks to the serenity of moments in life. If you have ever heard any of the songs by Chris Thile in his solo effort, many of them remind me of his Nickel Creek collaboration.
