Anti-fascism isn't an ideology, it's a "look over there" tactic. Their ideology, as evidenced by their red and black flags and backed up by their own admissions, is anarcho-communism. But when you know that no one wants what you're selling, you talk about what you're against rather than what you're for, and present a false dilemma that it's "us or fascism".

The Democrat party of those days was exactly as I described and not much changed except the don't allow segregationist anymore. They were Populist and Liberals who made a home for those who were also Segregationist.

Trump has some gifts in the art of propaganda and public appeal, but so do the other side. Of course they call themselves 'Anti-Fascists'. Communists learned that trick a hundred years ago -- it used to be called 'Front Organizations' -- who could resist joining the Committee for Supporting Good Things?

Trump should have organized a national day of patriotic celebration, maybe Memorial Day, invited Democrats and others to participate, had rallies in every city with hundreds of flags, have military participation, veterans as speakers, speakers honoring fallen policemen ... and dare the Democrats to stay away. No 'taking a knee' at an event like that, and definitely no flag burning. It would have either split the Democrats from their radical wing, if they participated, or alienated them from ordinary Americans if they didn't.

The anti-Fa as terrorist thing was just a lot of impulsive hot air.

 

What party are you talking about ? I searched through all the historical records and do not find any "Democrat" party. There millions of references to a Democratic Party though. They were a populist segment of e Democratic party but hardly liberal. In fact FDR complained that God Southern Democrats in Congress tended to vote with Republicans.

 

They got their legislation through well enough and ran the Southern states with their Populism and Segregation finding their home with the Democrats.

I do not support the taking a knee BS but Trump is hardly one with any moral or patriotic cred to complain about it. He failed to serve his country based upon false diagnosis by a corrupt "doctor". He crapped on MCCain and all of us Vietnam Vetetans. He lied about championing the Veterans Choice program but that was signed into law by Obama in early 2014 ( after Congress passed it) we piloted it at the VA in April of 2014 and went countrywide August 2014. Take a wild guess at who was POTUS in 2014! I do not give Obama any credit for it either since Congress passed he just signed so BFD.

Trump is not an American patriot he just uses the trappings of patriotism in a Fake display of patriotism since he uses to spew hatred.

Are they extreme? What exactly makes them "Extreme"? And please don't claim the race card as I watched an interview that CNN had with one of the leaders of the Proud Boys, a Puerto Rican who wanted ALL races to join.

 

They of course did not in any way want to be called Republicans or be Republican because of that guy they hated with a passion - Lincoln.
The Southern so called Democrats stayed in office for long periods of time therefore they had virtually all of the chairmanships tied down. That was their power to get their legislation passed. Southerners did not change their politicians they did not like change they liked to conserve their power.

When Biden said that he had to deal with segregationalists it was because as I pointed out they had the power of the chairmanships.

 

There are Antifa groups within umbrella front organizations are for the most part thugs. But so are Nazis and White Supremacists groups.

They were DEMOCRATS, except for one election when they formed the Dixiecrats and lost and then went right back into the open welcome arms of the Democrats. And yes as Biden said they weren't "so-called
Democrats" they were full fledged Democrats and held high level positions in the DEMOCRAT party the Democrats were the party of segregation I don't know what you're missing here.
