    It doesn’t even need to go that far. Bird parts entering the compressor can cause compressor stall. A stalled compressor is going to prevent the engine from making power.

    I suspect another factor is that the 380 was not selling as the manufacturer would have liked. Part of that might be because the landside infrastructure doesn't accommodate the aircraft. Many terminals cannot accommodate the aircraft.

    Again, the A380 is the most favorite aircraft by passengers. But it means **** for profits when you can use cheap cattle transport.

    I want walk and move during a flight. I want silence and calm ambience. A380 is only aircraft with that.

    There is a massive difference between a plane that crashes because it can't handle a flock of birds in their engine, and some American piece of junk that just drops out of the sky because Americans can't program.

    I flew on a KLM A380 from Amsterdam to Cape Town, business class lie-flat seat.

    It was amazing. Wow, what an amazing airplane.

    I've been on 747s, and it just doesn't compare.
