And you're dancing around the issue. Just check your quote and my response that you took issue with and then tell me you quoted him exactly.

Dude, I'm not dancing around anything. I came into this thread asking for that point to be clarified, so I focused on that point.

And I did quote him exactly. In fact, I copy-pasted.

The slave trade ended in America in 1808.

By the time of the American War Between the States just about all of the slave owners inherited their slaves and because of the Nat Turner Rebellion (1831) states passed laws making it extremely difficult to free their slaves.

Odd, indeed- but not inconsistent with the mentality being used by the left today. It's not a platform or singular ideology, it's more like a kind of sponge that has holes, hard places, soft places and places where things just disappear. The rationale in in a continuous state of metamorphosis to make events and subject fit into the desired belief of at the moment. Nothing is stable, nothing is above question, and nothing is really real.

The Arabs themselves. Saudi Arabia didn't abolished slavery until in 1962. Of course, the slave trade in the Islamic/Arab world took place between the 7th and 21st centuries (the 21st century includes Mauritania, Libya, and Sudan). The Arab slave trade lasted much, much longer than the Atlantic or European slave trade.

Actually KSA banned slavery in 1952 with a ten year window for slaves who wanted to stay with their masters to prepare for their future. Mubarak was one such person who worked as a houseboy for us and saved his money for his future.

For 21 of those questions a yes answer is the correct answer.

The whole reparations argument, the white privilege argument, white cops in minority neighborhoods, etc.

You are either playing dumb or live under a rock.

What on Earth are you talking about?

You act incredulous that I'm asking the question, but look at the batshit answer you just gave me.

Is it any wonder that I'm asking for clarification?

I need you to come back when you're thinking clearly, read the question I asked and the answer you gave.

I want to foster a feeling of brotherhood between Anglos and Latinos in the American Southwest, and I think that treating people who have lived as Americans for most of their lives as Americans would go a long way towards that goal.

I would go a lot further than that. I'd like to see a customs union between the United States and Mexico, allowing free or nearly-free movement across our border.

It doesn't mean anything, it's just another bit of Democrat hocus pocus. They've lost the black vote and are willing to pay for it via reparations. They don't need to actually move on that, they just have to make a promise giving the black voter a double screwing. What they're saying is ridiculous on it's face, blaming present day whites for slavery is like blaming present day Germans for World War II.

Since no one alive today in the US was either a slave or slave owner, the issue is dead and gone. It's 2019, get a damn life and grow up.

This is ignoring the lasting impact of slavery that endures to this day. Jim Crow wasn't nearly so long ago, either. Plenty of people alive today experienced that.
